ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN SCIENCE


SCHOOL YEAR 2022-2023

I. INTRODUCTION:

This school year, the country’s educational system sector has been posed with the
most challenging situation in the 21st century with the emergence of COVID-19. Like any
other school around the world, Don Ynocencio A. Del Rosario Memorial School modified
and recalibrated its established practices and policies to ensure that quality education
and services to its clientele will continue amidst the new Normal. Teachers were
encouraged to upgrade their ICT skills and knowledge for designing teaching and
learning tasks through virtual/face to face conferences and webinars. The learners then
employed different learning modalities, wherein our very own DYDRMS implemented
the use of modular distance learning due to lack of internet connectivity, lack of gadgets
and the likes.
As for the teachers who are handling Science subjects, they also tried to explore
varied strategies and resources to continue the delivery of the lesson in this time of the
new Normal using blended teaching in the 1st the Quarter of the School Year and face to
face teaching for 2nd to 4th Quarter.

I. PUPILS DEVELOPMENT

• Preparation of teacher made test for every quarter.


• Constructed intervention materials and related activities in teaching Science.
• Conducted School base Yes-O activities.
• Joint Yes -O Festival Division Level.
• Established Yes -O Club
• Established Yes -O Officers
• Division Champion EcoLITRATO Contest

II. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

• Used innovative instructional materials.


• Updated the Yes -O program/activities for the school year.
• Used strategies that are child- centered. Integration of topic was enhanced,
Infusion of values was emphasized.
• Teachers always had well-prepared Lesson Plan in Science and Health based
on K-12 Curriculum
• Administered Quarter Tests and Post Test to evaluate the learning
proficiency and skills of the pupils in science.

III. TEACHERS DEVELOPMENT

• Teachers serve as facilitator in the 2023 Yes- O school base Activities.


• Participated in the Division Yes- O Eco Festival in Cong. Ramon Arnaldo
National High School.
• Teachers attended seminars through different flatforms like MS Teams and
google flatforms conducted by the Division, region and national.
• Revived the Science Park.

IV. PHYSICAL FACILITIES

• Maintained a functional Science Laboratory Room that provides hands- on,


Inquiry- based activities and encourage pupils to utilize and evaluate
research materials.
• Updated Science and Health Corner.
• Maintain existing laboratory tools/equipment inside the classroom.
• Provided cabinet for the laboratory tools received from the DepEd.
