    Stage 4 : Biodiversity and Sustainability.

    Week 1

    Dimension 1 Recovery

    1. Screen print or photograph of your exam Self-assessment Stage 4.- Biodiversity and
    sustainability.

    2. Take the Dimension 1 quiz on page 91 of the learning guide and answer it with your prior
    knowledge.
    Dimension 2: Comprehension.

    3. Do a comprehensive reading of the topic "Sustainability" (pages 163 to 164) and create
    a Venn Diagram showing the dimensions of sustainable development. It also makes
    a comparative table of renewable and non-renewable natural resources.
    Week 2

    4. Do a comprehensive reading of topic 4.1 "Biodiversity" (textbook, pp. 134-148). It


    underlines the main ideas and with this information prepares a Summary Table that
    includes the importance (uses) of biodiversity, types, threats and conservation.

    5. As a team, review information regarding "Biodiversity in Mexico" and make a list of the
    main species that are at risk and a summary that explains why Mexico is
    considered a megadiverse country.
    Point 4 and 5
    Week 3
    Dimension 3: Analysis.

    6. Work as a collaborative team in the review of the topic "Environmental Impact, Global
    Warming, and Climate Change." With the information provided by the textbook and
    together with your work team, create a concept map. Remember to include the linking
    words between the concepts and establish the correct relationships between them.

    7. Work individually with the topic "Ecological footprint" check on the internet how to
    calculate your ecological footprint through the following link:

    8. With this information, prepare a report that shows the impact that your lifestyle and
    consumption has on the planet. This report includes a reflection in which you point out
    strategies to reduce your ecological footprint (if it is very high) or to maintain it (if it is the
    case).

    9. Take a walk around your house (indoor, patio, garden) and write in your notebook the type
    and amount of polluting materials you see: paint cans, spray cans, solvents, batteries,
    plastic containers, newspaper, old tires, etc.

    10. Propose realistic alternatives on how to reduce the use of these types of environmentally
    polluting materials. Integrate all the information in this document.
