CALL FOR RESEARCH PROPOSALS

To: Assistant schools Division superintendent

Education Program/ District Supervisors
Heads of Public Elementary and Secondary Schools

1. This office, in support to DepEd's quest of sustaining the culture of research

and desire for continual improvement, announces the call for submission of research
proposals for the Basic Education Research F`und (BERF`), Batch 10.

2. The proposals shall focus on teaching-1eaming for teachers and impact/ level
of implementation of major programs, activities and projects (PAPs) which include
among others Basic Education Facilities, Conservation and Restoration of Gabaldon
Building; Computerization Program; Development and Promotion of Campus
Journalism, ELLN; Flexible Leaming Options; Human Resource Development; IPEd;
Iiearner Support Program, Madrasah Education Program; PMIS; Policy and Research
Program; SBF`P; Textbooks and other Instructional Materials; School MOOE;
ERF/Reclassification and other cross-cutting themes like DRRM and SBM.

3. The timeline in conducting BERF funded researches is six (6) months for the
action researches of teachers and ten (10) months for the basic researches of non-
teaching personnel. Relative to this, teachers are advised to consider competencies
during the lst semester to be able to meet the timeline set in DepEd Order 16, s.
2017 otherwise known as the Research Management Guidelines (RMG).

4. Proponents are advised to use the official templates for action (for teachers)
and basic (non-teaching personnel) researches. Soft copies were sent through the
SHs' & School Research Coordinators' GCs along with annexes 1-3.

5. School heads are requested to facilitate the initial review of the proposals
through the School Research Committee (SRC) and attach in all proposals endorsed
to the division office duly signed SRC Approval Sheet.

6. The schools Division Research committee (SDRC) and the Division Research
Technical Team (DRr2) will review the proposals to check its eligibility for BERF
funding.

7. Proponents are required to attach a letter of intent to apply for BERF` funding
addressed to the Schools Division Superintendent for his approval along with duly
accomplished Annexes 1-3.

8. School heads and SDO personnel may directly submit their proposals to the
Division Office.

9. Submission of proposals is open to all teaching and non-teaching personnel

including those who missed to request for BERF slots.

10. Deadline for submission of proposals is January 24, 2023; Attention: Grace

research.tuguegarao@,deped.gov.Qi±.
