for 6 seconds. Then, the entire Display Panel will blink at intervals of 0.5 second for 4 seconds.
2) B efore this 4-second blinking time finishes, release the Freezer Key + Power Freeze buttons
and press the Power Freeze button. Then, the entire Display Panel goes off and the Test mode
( Forced Operation / Defrost Mode) starts.
3) Each time the Test button is pressed, the Test function changes in sequence of Forced
Operation (F) → Forced Defrost (d) → Cancellation (Normal Operation). To cancel the Test
function during the Test mode, it is recommended turning off the power and turn it on again.

Then, the entire Display Panel blinks at intervals of 0.5 seconds for 4 seconds. When
pressing the Freezer + Power Freeze buttons for 10 seconds including the 4-second blinking
time, it sends out a “Ding Dong” sound and it goes into the Self-Diagnosis function.
2-2) When it goes into the Self-Diagnosis function, the entire Display Panel goes off and each
error code lights up on the display every 2 seconds in sequence.
Error Code blinks (0.5 second On and 0.5 second Off) – Refer to Self-Diagnosis Check List

entire Display Panel blinks at intervals of 0.5 second for 4 seconds.
2) At this time, release the Freezer + Power Freeze buttons and press the Alarm button.
Then, with “Ding Dong” sound, it goes into the Load Display mode.
3) The Load Display function shows what MICOM signals come out from MAIN PCB.
But, it just indicates that there are MICOM signals coming out. It does not necessarily mean
that the related parts (Loads) are operating. In other word, even though it shows a certain load
working, the related part may not operate due to such as a defective PCB relay or the defective
part itself. Also, this function can be used in trouble-shooting.
4) The Load Display function lasts for 30 seconds and then it goes back to the normal operation.

entire Display Panel blinks at intervals of 0.5 second for 4 seconds.
2) At this time, release the Power Freeze + Alarm buttons and press the Freezer button.
Then, with “Ding Dong” sound, it goes into the Demo Mode.
3) When the unit is in Demo Mode, all the functions including the Display Panel works normal.
But, the Compressor and C-Fan do not operate.
4) To cancel the Demo Mode, press the same buttons for 6 seconds as you enter into the Demo
Mode or turn off its power.

3-1) For example, if you want to shift the standard temp of the Freezer compartment by -2ºC,
follow the steps below.
This function is to change the default temperature and when the default temperature of the
Freezer compartment is -19ºC and the default setting is lowered by -2ºC with the Option
function, the default temperature will be controlled at -21ºC.
That is, when changing temperature options, the Freezer compartment will operate at -21ºC
internally even if it shows -19ºC on the display panel. Therefore, the temperature will be
controlled by -2ºC lower than the set temperature on the display panel.
Note. Basically, when units being shipped out, all the data in the Option function are cleared.
That is, the Default settings are “0”. However, for the purpose of quality improvement during
mass production, the Default values may change. Therefore, be sure to check quality information,
such as SVC bulletins.
39
3-2) After changing into the Option mode, “0” lights up on the display panel.
( when units being shipped out, all the data in the Option function are cleared. However, for
the purpose of quality improvement during mass production, the Default values may change.)
-W hen only “0” lights up on the Freezer compartment, the Freezer temperature options can
be set and the current set temperature will show on the display panel.)
3-3) When it is set to “4” at the Freezer temperature LED, the Freezer default temperature is
lowered by 2.0ºC. (Refer to the Freezer temperature changing draft.)
If you wait for 20 seconds after changing the temperature, MICOM will store the set value in
EEPROM. Andt, it goes back to the normal display and the option setting mode is cancelled.
3-4) Since option is already set in EEPROM while shipping, do not change it randomly except for
emergencies and do not turn off power before restoring to normal display because option is
completed as long as it can restore to normal display after 20 sec.
Note. The Option function can be used for some purposes, but it has got to with the unit programming.
It is not related with repairing the unit. So, it is not introduced in this manual.
(Except the above, do not change other values.)

Note
1. When the Door is open, the Door S/W contact becomes open, and 5V applies to MICOM sensing
the Door Open. And, when 5V is sensed for more than 2 minutes, it sends out the Door Alarm at
intervals of 1 minute for 10 seconds. So, when there is defect in Door S/W, the Door Alarm can
occur at intervals of 1 minute (refer when repairing the unit).
2.The interior lamp operates based on the Door S/W operation.
* Checking REED S/W
REED S/W operates by the magnetic power of
the magnets attached on Doors.
- Reed S/W magnetized → 0 Ω (Door Closed)
- Reed S/W not magnetized → ∞ Ω (Door Open)
When the power of the magnets are weak or the
Reed S/W location is shifted, it needs replacing. Start
Note
When the Door is open, the Door S/W contact becomes open, and 5V applies to MICOM sensing the Door Open.
