Script

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to today’s debate session. My name is Crystalle
Mae A. Genson and I’ll be your debate moderator for this morning.
Before we begin, I would like to take a moment to thank each of you for taking the time to
participate in this important discussion.
Now, I would like to introduce our distinguished panelists for this morning. First, we have Mrs.
Ria DJ. Cawit, together with representatives from each group as part of the panelists committee.
Welcome, panelists.
All teams have put in a great deal of effort to prepare for today’s debate, and we can expect to
see some insightful and thought-provoking arguments from both sides. At this moment, I will be
explaining the debate structure.
Once you hear this sound (play the sound of the timer) this means that your time is up. Please
be mindful of your time to avoid deduction from the judges. Next, here is the criteria for judging
the debate.

DEBATE ETIQUETTE
 Each member of the group must contribute to the debate at least twice.
 Profanity words will not be tolerated in this room.
 Do not cut off your opponent while they are still speaking.

Without further ado, let’s begin with the opening statements. Debater 1, you have (insert time

Thank you again for your insightful arguments. Finally, we will move on to the closing

Excellent job, debaters. Now, our judges will take a few minutes to score the debaters based on
the quality of their arguments and presentation style. In a few moments, we will proceed to the
next set of debaters.
Now that the judges are done with the tally of scores. We will now proceed to the next set of
debaters. The rules and structures of the debate are still the same.
Ladies and gentlemen, our third and fourth teams of debaters.
