Relative pronouns are words used to introduce relative clauses. These clauses
provide additional information about a noun in the main clause. Relative
pronouns connect two related sentences by replacing a noun and introducing a
new idea.
1. Who: Used for people.
 Example: The woman who is singing has a beautiful voice.

2. Whom: Also used for people, especially in more formal contexts.


It is used as the object of a verb or preposition.
 Example: The student whom the teacher praised is my friend.

3. Whose: Indicates possession, used for people and things.


 Example: The house whose roof is red is for sale.

4. Which: Used for things or animals.


 Example: The book which is on the shelf is interesting.

5. That: Used for people, things, and animals. It is often used in


restrictive clauses.
 Example: The car that I bought last week is blue.
