Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the Korean otologic and audiologic societies, it is my great pleasure and privilege
to welcome you all to the much-awaited 14th Asia Pacific Symposium on Cochlear Implant and
Related Sciences (APSCI 2023 Seoul), taking place on November 8-11, 2023 in Seoul, Korea. I am
especially thrilled that we can finally meet each other after the long and difficult pandemic times.

The global cochlear implant society has strived to provide the patients with better speech
perception and now expanding our horizon further, to focus on enhancing the quality of life
of our patients in various aspects. Under the theme ‘Towards better speech perception and
beyond’, we will be increasing our knowledge and broadening our perspectives with an extensive
program and coverage of ground-breaking findings from world-renowned speakers. We will cover
numerous emerging issues beyond the CI operation including, but not limited to, theory of mind,
school performance, mobile health, genetics, AI and more.

At APSCI 2023 Seoul, we will be learning together from the discoveries and researches by
the leading countries while considering the paths we are setting for our upcoming younger
generation around the world. Also, the exhibition will display the state-of-the-art technologies in
the related industry that enable better patient care.

Seoul is one of the world’s most lively cities where the global high-trends are flowing into, and you
will surely be delighted by its beautiful blend of rich tradition and dynamic culture during your
stay.

I sincerely appreciate your participation and enthusiasm for APSCI 2023 Seoul and truly hope that
you have a memorable time with your old and new friends here in Seoul.

Sincerely,

Seung-Ha OH M.D., Ph.D.

President, APSCI 2023 Seoul
