your answer as to why you choose that answer.

Answer: D, the given statements are incorrect since motion should be multi-
dimensional and can be observed randomly, thus, it is not only limited to 1
dimension or with uniform acceleration.

b. solve for the total distance covered by the programmable car
c. Solve for the acceleration of the toy car between 0s and 3s, 3s and 6s, 6s
and 8s, and 8s and10s, respectively.
2. If a pilot accelerates at more than 4g, he begins to “gray out” but doesn’t
completely lose consciousness. (take note /g /= 9.8m/s2)
(a) Assuming constant acceleration, what is the shortest time that a jet pilot
starting from rest can take to reach Mach 4 (four times the speed of sound)
without graying out?
(b) How far would the plane travel during this period of acceleration? (Use 331 m/s
for the speed of sound in cold air.)
(c) Upon reaching the mach 4 speed, the jet pilot accidentally presses the 5g
acceleration. He will black out ( lose consciousness) after 5 seconds, how fast will
be the jet before the pilot blacking out?

3. A ball rolls on roof with angle of depression of 300 and has an initial speed of
20m/s before it leaves the edge of the roof. After 2.0 seconds, it hits the ground. If
assumed that air resistance is negligible,

a. how high is the edge of the roof from the ground?


b. What is the velocity of the of the ball on the level ground (instance before it
strikes the ground)?

II. Performance Tasks 2. Perform the following task/s given. Odd numbered
groups will perform Task PT2.A, while even numbered groups will do PT2.B ( Note: No
duplication of Topics). Any groups can perform all the tasks as they wish, thus,
additional score will be given to them based on their performance (max score will not
exceed 30 pts)

PT2.A. Create my New Game – Create/ invent a unique game that will highlight different
concepts of motion. Include the following in your output:

a. Mechanics of the game (Procedure of how the game will be played/


Rules and guidelines of the game)
b. Sketch of playing area
c. Narrative of science concepts exhibited in the game.
d. Provide a video of the actual/demo game or an animation of how the
game will be played.

(Note outputs will be in soft copy only)

PT2.B. Create a Contextualized Video clips – Create a 3-to-5-minute video clip about one
of these topics such as (a) Vector and vector operations, (b)
uniformly accelerated motion, (c) Projectile and circular motion, (d)
Three laws of motion, (e) Kinetic and Potential energy: Comparison
with work, and (f) Impulse and Momentum. The video clip maybe a
combination of narration, animation, and actual acting.

III. Performance Tasks 3. All groups will perform the task given

PT3. Do-It- yourself Toy Car – Construct a toy car using recyclable materials but not
limited to rubbers, tin can, plastic bottle, etc. Testing of your outputs
is based on In-class racing competition. Score for the winning toy
car is a perfect score.
