Selinog Potential coastal flooding due to storm surges and tsunamis is the most serious
hazard that this barangay may encounter. Since its ground has very low elevation and
it is in an open sea, the hazard of inundation may leave the island residents helpless.
Early warning systems, communications and evacuation centers should be properly
established.
Aliguay Its topography indicates that it is unlikely susceptible to rain-induced flooding and
landslides. However due to its being a low ground level island, it is more susceptible
to storm surges and tsunami, which pose serious hazard to the settlers. Availability of
early warning systems, communications and evacuation centers should be further
established.
