PROJECT INTRODUCTION

When a country is rapidly developing, its population is increasing. This causes

the rate of demand for certain needs to be high. Human lifestyles that want a better

life such as houses, electricity and water supply, cars, etc. cause the demand for

natural resources to increase. Management unplanned natural resources such as

uncontrolled logging" widespread land exploration" carbon dioxide gas emissions into

the atmosphere" solid waste disposal and thus cause pollution. If the management of

natural resources is not well managed, it also affects the quality of human life and the

environment.

Therefore, Green technology is the application of environmental science to

conserve resources and nature to deal with the negative impact of human activities

such as the production of harmful black smoke by factories, the use of motor vehicle

fuel, the destruction of nature, river pollution, carbon emissions into the air and so on.

Green Technology (TH) is defined as the development and application of

products, equipment, and systems to preserve the environment and nature and

minimize or reduce the negative effects of human activities (KeTTHA, 2016).

Therefore, our group agreed to produce a green city. Our project is named

Crystal Green Technology City. Our project theme is “Sustainability of green

technology in planned urban development.

We applied 7 green technology sectors in our project which are energy

supply, Waste and water, Building, Transportation, Industry, Agriculture, and forestry.

Information and communication technology (ICT). Most of the materials we use to

produce recycled materials are from discarded materials.

SECTOR

1) First sector is the building. There are several departments in UTC Building.

The main function of this building is to provide various services such as medical

security, banking, and business. It is the main service and shopping centre for the

residents of this city.

5
There is also a building that provides education services for the residents of the

city, which is SK Crystal. This school describe the concept and practice of a

Sustainable school. There is a school atmosphere that is conducive to producing

school members who practice sustainable living practices. For example, there are play

garden and recycling practices by students.

As for the settlement area, there are luxury apartments that use the green

concept. There are various green plants planted around this area.

6
2) For the energy sector, there are windmills built in this area to generate

strong electricity for the residents of this crystal city. The main source of energy for the

residents here is the result of the windmills. There is also a solar panel to generate

electricity or be stored in batteries or thermal storage and it collects energy from the

sun in the form of sunlight and converts it into electricity. (this is a moving component

in our project)

3) The solid waste and wastewater management sector in this city have

recycling bins and sewage plant. City residents will separate the waste and throw it

into the bins provided for recycling. Sewage plants are provided in the city to remove

human waste and wastewater, especially domestic sewage.

4) For the transport sector, roads, bridge, and river are the main infrastructure

facilities for the residents of Crystal City One of the components of the road is the

footpath. This route encourages residents to reduce their dependence on vehicles for

short distances. The builded roads, bridge and river are surrounded by green plants

that function as heat and sound absorbers in the area. Environmentally friendly public

transport is also provided to reduce the release of gas that pollutes the environment

and further reduce road congestion, especially in areas where the population is

concentrated.

5) There is also an industrial sector which is the crystal hotel. This hotel is

one of the sources of employment for people around the city. This crystal hotel is

located near the forest and Animal park which is a tourist center. Tourists who visit this

area will enjoy the beauty of the flora and fauna. This also encourages people to love

nature.

6) For the agriculture and forestry sector in our city there is a Vegetable

Farm that carries out the function of farming with conventional method. This crop

yields is use as a source of food. The city's forest reserve continues to function as a

water catchment area, stabilizes oxygen on the earth's surface, balances the

ecosystem and acts as an erosion buffer.

10
6) The last sector is the Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

The telecommunication tower is a main communication centre in the city. This ICT

tower is built without hazardous material and saving electricity.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the city that we are built will minimize the negative impact on the

environment and the use of resources, encouraging human reconnection with nature,

reducing carbon emissions from various human activities. Love our earth.
