ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
ZSSAT SCHOOL BASED GSP ENCAMPMENT 2023

Powell.
With so much pride, we put so much happiness in the lives of our students particularly the girls by
engaging them in worth-while activities which enable them to be the best version of themselves through
developing their innate skills such as leadership, resilience, discipline and many more. One of these is
scouting. Scouting does not deal with getting awards and recognition, but most importantly instilling to
them the invaluable skills and attitude that they need to have to be prepared for the role of being
productive citizens of the world.
Last November 18-19, 2023, Zamboanga del Sur School of Arts and Trades took part in the 9th
GSP Simultaneous School Camp with the theme “Girl Scouts: Together we can heal the Earth.”
Around 7am, the scouts are gathered for the registration where the incharge is Tita Merceris C.
Pacquing and Tita Gina P.Agarin. There were 126 girl scouts registered for the school camp.
The opening program formally started with the entrance of colors lead by selected senior girl
scouts of the school. The Philippine National Anthem was then conducted by Tita Merceris C. Pacquing
followed by a prayer led by Tita Jyrell Cristine N. Espinosa, then the Pagadian City hymn was led by Tita
Janeth C. Cogalito. The GSP Scout Promise was led by scout Zyrell Pacaña and the GSP Scout Law was
led by scout Shen Tamse. A welcome address was given by our GSP Coordinator Tita Cecilia Abad. Our
secondary school principal Dr. Augusto D. Gavenia also gave his inspirational message. An orientation
was then given by the GSP Coordinator Arve S. Tario, that includes the line up of activity for Day 1 and
Day 2.
At 9 am the GSP songs and yells was conducted by Tita Arve S Tario. The girls had so much fun
singing GSP songs used in ceremonies. This is then followed by lectures which are as follows:
Sustainable Development with Tita Merceris C. Pacquing, Cleanliness and Orderliness with Tita Jaheirda
C. Andan and Symposium on First Aid with our School Nurse Tita Angelie G. Tomarong.
In the afternoon at 1pm our school librarian Maam Angel Magnolia S. Bahian was tasked to be
the reading ambassadress. The girls are so much attentive with the story telling done.
The reading session was then followed by the Tiktok Challenge “Its not about the money” by tita
Jyrell Cristine N. Espinosa and then the singing contest “ Always Remember us this way” with Tita
Janeth C. Cogalito. The 4 troops, Ampalaya, Kalabasa, Talong and Okra participated the contests. The
girls were so enthusiastic and had fun in showcasing their talents in the Talents Unlimited.
The day ended fruitful after the short briefing on the day 2 activities to be done and the materials
to bring. The troops were also given ribbons as award for their accomplishment that day.
Day 2 began with the scouts’ own ceremony. The girls silently went inside the gate of silence,
rendering choral readings, songs and verses on the theme Love of Nature. A reflection was then given by
Tita Cecilia and Tita Arve.

One of the highlights of the activity is the Clean Up Drive and at the same time hiking conducted
along the streets of Kawit going to Pagadian City Airport. The girls sang songs and yells while on their
way to the venue. They gathered plastic bottles and other plastic containers along the way and placed it a
sack. After which it was tightly tied ready to be disposed in a designated area.
The girls then were given time to wash ready for the treasure hunting. The treasure hunting was
prepared by Tita Frances Galanido together with the JHSC interns. The treasure “eggs” were placed in
the grounds where the scouters are going to collect. The girls had the time of there life collecting the
treasures which they later on ate.
The girls then had participated in the games such as message relay, give me the word and more.
A shorts ribbon awarding was then given to the troops.
The closing program then followed. A short message was given by our assistant school
principal Dr. Monica E. Evasco. The awarding of certificates to the girl scouts and the adult leaders was
then conducted. This was then followed with the awarding of the troop, which garnered a loud clap from
the girls.
All Activities are documented with pictures as evidence in support to the program of the Girl
Scouts of the Philippines.
