II- Objectives
At the end of the activities, the participants will be able to:
a. understand the basic mathematical concepts and computational skills;
b. stimulate interest in the learning of mathematics; and,
c. appreciate the importance of the activity as stated in the theme.
III- RESULTS/OUTCOMES
In cooperation with the Mathematics Club and SSG officers, the conduct
of School-Based Mathematics Festival was thoroughly planned step by step.
Officers have the vision to make the program enjoyable and meaningful to all
the participants.
The program was started in the morning at exactly 8:45 with an opening
prayer and nationalistic song presented via multimedia. It was opened by the
Grade 9 Mathematics teacher, Ms. Unime F. Plaza with her Opening Remarks
followed by the presentation of participants given by Mrs. Cristina E. Tibayan.
Then, Ms. Josephine G. Plaza, Mathematics Coordinator presented the
Rationale of the activity and then followed by the Reading of Mechanics and
Guidelines by Mr. Jemboy C. Cabalhin, the Mathematics Club President and
then, Ms. Irish Cuajao, the Vice President of the Mathematics Club introduced
the judges and read the criteria for the Math Cartooning and Math Jingle. The
Part I of the program ended with an inspiring message given by the very active
School Head, Mr. Arjun D. Cerro
Part II of the program, the contest proper started at 9:15 a.m. The events
were conducted simultaneously with the following facilitators.
