Solutex Solvent Recycling Range 2023
Solvent recycling is a great way to save money and we have a model that’s right for you from the economic Dista c Standard
series through to the fully automa c Industrial series.
Its important when choosing a solvent recycling system that you get the right informa on and assistance to make an informed
decision. Equipment has to meet a lot of legisla ve requirements such as ATEX for flammable atmospheres. You can be
assured that the equipment we supply meets these demands and is fully cer fied. This leaflet highlights the advantages of a
Solutex solvent recycling system. We welcome the opportunity to be your supplier.
The ATEX regula ons concerning the working areas defined as dangerous require a cer fied machine in order to treat
flammable liquids.
It is important to note that a machine manufactured with ATEX components is not an ATEX cer fied system, cer fica on is for
the complete machine.
The units we supply are cer fied ATEX II 2G which applies to machines intended to be used in zone 1 areas (place in which it is
probable that an explosive atmosphere can occur).
Our machines should not be compared to machines provided from other suppliers which are cer fied 3G which is for zone 2, a
lower requirement.
Machines are manufactured and supplied under the Quality System ISO9000:2015.
Technicians always available to discuss any issues and help with consumables and spare parts.
Our service and installa on technicians are fully trained in all aspects of equipment maintenance and repair. They are
qualified electrically to the highest standards including hazardous areas.
Residues
During solvent recycling the contaminant inside the boiler is
Recbags
In the Dista c series machines from 15 up to 160 litre capacity its
contained inside the bag, is easy and quick to discharge, avoiding any
The residue is unloaded by pping the boiler using the power assisted
mechanism. The scraper is very robust and rotates close to the boiler
walls making the plant self-cleaning. It has the poten al to produce a
dry residue with a solvent content less than 2% (typically with solid
wastes like paint, resins, inks but not oily or s cky residues).
Drying Phase
If you need something special we can design and build a plant to suit your
specific requirements no matter how big or small. With many special
installations worldwide its likely that we have supplied something similar
before. So, if you think that its not possible with your process, then talk to
us, you may find we already have the answer.
We can offer a very wide range of options. Examples include:
Vacuum Systems
Choose from pneumatic or liquid ring pump vacuum systems. Vacuum systems lower the
boiling point making it possible to distil solvents with a high boiling point or those that can
decompose at high temperatures.
Available with level controls and fluid transfer pumps.
Anti-foam disc
In some cases the products contained in the waste solvent can cause foaming that can
lead to discolored solvent being produced. The anti-foam disc can help eliminate this.
Its easily fitted and removed for cleaning.
Tanks are available for receiving the recycled solvent. The tanks up to 120 litre can be
mobile. Transfer pumps and level controls are available.
Extra care should be taken when recycling solvents containing nitrocellulose products
often present in flexible packaging and wood coatings. The safety device AFN provides
an additional layer of protection.
When required we can provide a complete package with storage tanks, solvent recycler
and liquid transfer all mounted on a bund. Installation by qualified technicians and
training for the operator.
