Management System – Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers
Teachers plays a crucial role in nurturing the future of our nation. There is a need for competent
and skilled teachers to develop holistic learners who are equipped with 21st century skills. Result-Based
Performance Management System (RPMS) that is aligned with the Philippine Professional Standards for
Teachers (PPST) was continuously updated to anchor teachers and their actions on well-defined
professional standards. Doña Narcisa B. Vda. De Leon Elementary School conducted another productive
SLAC regarding multi-year RPMS specifically the means of verification (MOVs) for SY 2022-2023.
At exacdy 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon the SLAC started with the singing of National Anthem,
immediately followed by the prayer led by Mrs. Elnora Y. Sincioco, Grade 1 Adviser. To formally start the
learning action cell, Dr. Ailie Riza SJ. Bernardo, School Head gave her opening remarks and inspirational
message to speakers and participants. She was also the first speaker who discussed the content of the DepEd
Memorandum No. 8, s. 2023 Multi-year Guidelines on the Results-based Performance Management System
– Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers. The second topic focused on the objectives, MOVs and
tools of RPMS for SY 2022-2023 and was discussed by Mrs. Crizel G. Salvador, Grade 6 Adviser. She
explained the diverse means of verifications to be prepared and properly organized along with the different
objectives. She discussed the needs to create reflections as MOVs for some objectives in both proficient and
highly proficient teachers. Mrs. Salvador reviewed to the participants on how to accomplished their eSAT
and their development plan. She encouraged the participants to take initiative in collecting and organizing
the available MOVs from the previous quarters.
The SLAC ended successfully as the participants were encouraged to use their time meaningfully
