CHAPTER IV

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the results of the data required for this investigation. Alongside the

tables are the problem statement's conclusions

Table 6: Effectiveness test

Treatments Mean Description Remark

T1 5 The treatments prove to be effective,

and the adhesive strength remains Excellent

effective for at least 4 hours after

application.

T2 4.3 The treatments prove to be effective,

and the adhesive strength remains Above Average

effective for at least 3 hours after

application.

T3 3.3 The treatments prove to be effective,

and the adhesive strength remains Average

effective for at least 2 hours after

application.
The table illustrated that based on their overall performance, with "Excellent" remark for T1 that

treatments prove to be effective, and the adhesive strength remains effective for at least 4 hours

after application , While in T2 is resulted with a remark of "Above Average" that the treatments

prove to be effective, and the adhesive strength remains effective for at least 3 hours after

application. Lastly, in T3 it resulted to "Average" that the treatments prove to be effective, and

the adhesive strength remains effective for at least 2 hours after application. This suggests that T1

has the highest mean and is considered excellent, T2 has a slightly lower mean but is still above

average, and T3 has the lowest mean and is considered average in terms of effectiveness.

In the Shelf-life Longevity Test, three different treatments (T1, T2, and T3) underwent

evaluation over a 5 days. The color of the product in all treatments change, displaying a

significant changes. Notably, there was detectable change or it development smell in every

treatments. Importantly, none of the treatments exhibited any signs of mold growth, affirming

that the product remained uncontaminated.

Table 8: The Data analysis of the Effectiveness of the product

The presented table provides an overview of the significance levels pertaining to the

variance in effectiveness among the treatments in the context of evaluating the efficacy of jackfruit

sap as a glue, utilizing a single factor Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method. The data indicates

that there is a significant difference among the treatments. This is substantiated by the calculated p-

value (0.0138) is less than the alpha of (0.05).

CHAPTER V
SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The summary of all the findings and analysis of the researcher will be presented here and it will

show if the findings of the researcher answered the SOP of this research.

SUMMARY FINDINGS:

The study aimed to assess the efficacy of jackfruit sap as an adhesive for bonding materials. The
results revealed that all three treatments using jackfruit sap were effective in maintaining
adhesive strength for more than 8 hours.

The research also explored the shelf life of jackfruit sap as glue, treatment (1,2,3), stored at room

temperature, there was detectable change in color and development smell in every treatments.

Importantly, none of the treatments exhibited any signs of mold growth, affirming that the

product remained uncontaminated.

Conclusion

In conclusion, The statistical analysis using ANOVA indicates that there is significant
difference between the three treatments in terms of effectiveness of jackfruit sap as glue. It
indicated that the production of jackfruit sap as glue using the methods and conditions tested in
this study was successful in terms of effectiveness.
Recommendation

The recommendation, problems encountered and possible solutions in the study are the
following:

The researcher would like to recommend to future researchers

1. To future researchers is to lower the flame when mixing the ingredients to prevent them

from burning.

2. To future researchers to stir well while adding the ingredients to avoid clumps.

3. To future researchers that when the water boils, add the jackfruit juice and let it sit for 1

or 2 minutes. Avoid overdoing it, as it might lead to burning.

4. To future researchers that find additives or substances to prevent your product from

having an unpleasant odor.
