YEAR 11, 12 &13 December 2023 & January 2024 Mock Examinations

Dear Parents,

Please be informed about the upcoming Year 11, 12 and 13 January Mock Examinations which will commence
in the 5th December 2023 (please see the detailed schedule below). These Mock Examinations are compulsory
for all students in Year 11, 12 and 13. We also strongly recommend that no Year 11, 12 and 13 students travel
during the winter holiday and solely dedicate their time to revision for the Mocks and their January modules. We
hope that the parents can ensure that prior to the mocks and during the winter holiday their child will have
sufficient revision schedule every day as student revision outside of the school is a key part of success in their
exams. Mock 2 is organised in the same way as the summer exams and strict rules apply to the conduct in the
exam room. There will be no lessons during Mock exams period, however important revision and feedback
sessions for all students sitting external exams in Year 12 and 13 will take place on Sunday 7th January (the
timetable for different subjects will be shared in December). We hope that all students will attend.

Exam rules for students

Before the exam
Plan your revision to make sure you are thoroughly prepared for each exam
Get to the exam session on time
Get a good night’s sleep before the exam, remember revision late at night is not retained.
In the exam room
Inside the exam room you must be completely silent and not attempt to cheat or to distract other students.
Students must not take any phones or other communication devices into the exam room.
If you cheat you will have your exam paper cancelled.
It is important that students understand and abide by these rules.
