Crucible Costume Plot
The Crucible
NOTE: This wardrobe plot indicates our interpretation of the costumes
needed for this show. It is intended to provide a price quotation, the
number of changes, and a feeling for the costume style. Specific colors
and fabrics are not described in particular because of variations in size and
an ever-changing and evolving stock.
We hand-select your costumes from the hundreds of thousands of costumes in our ever-evolving
stock. We do not buy our costumes “off the rack". Each of our costumes is a Norcostco Original and will
not be found anywhere else because we custom manufacture our costumes; we always have. Our staff
of designers / theatre professionals continually strives to create the highest quality garments available
and make them perfect for today’s Top Shows.
Because we work in theatre, we know that not every dress is supposed to be beautiful. We also know
that Dolly has to hit the stage in that red dress that knocks ‘em dead. We cover the full spectrum of
needs for theatre and have been doing it since 1884. Yes, that’s 136 years. We know our job and we
know it well! You can count on us.
At Norcostco, we understand how much work goes into putting on a production, so let us take the
worry of costuming your actors off your plate! We want to make the costume rental process simple
and straightforward, so we can help you put on the best show possible!
These steps will help to ensure you receive the perfect costumes for your production:
• Download a costume plot from our website, www.norcostco.com. Follow the steps to complete
the check-out process. You will receive a link to download the plot. Simply click on “download
now” and save the plot to your computer.
• Fill out the Order Form with all your production, contact and billing information. If you do not
have a Norcostco account and would like to open one, please contact us and let us know!
• We are happy to provide you with as many (or as few!) costumes as you need for your
production. Simply mark on the plot which costumes you need and send us a copy. We are
happy to customize a plot to match your vision, so please let us know if you have any special
requests! For inspiration and examples of our stock, make sure to check out our costume photo
gallery!
• Fill out the measurement form as completely as possible. We have included a measurement
guide, to indicate how to take accurate measurements. It is best to have one person take the
measurements to ensure consistency.
• Email or fax the completed forms to your nearest Norcostco branch. We request that orders be
placed at least 3 weeks before your need-by date, to ensure that we can fulfill all your show’s
needs. If you are uncertain who to contact, please reach out to our main office:
[email protected] and we will be happy to connect you with the right person.
• Once you receive the costumes, please go through the inventory to check that all costumes and
accessories are accounted for. Please keep all the included paperwork, as it contains costume
care and return shipping information.
• Contact us right away if any issues arise. We will happily work with you to solve any problems.
• When your production is completed, simply check your inventory to make sure all costumes
and accessories are accounted for. We request that each costume be returned on its hanger
with the accessories, so we can easily see that everything has been returned when the
costumes are checked in.
• Please fill out the return address labels with the organization name and show title, and affix to
the boxes.
• Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. Please arrange for the costumes to be
shipped back on the next business day after your production closes. We will contact you if any
items are missing from your returned order.
