Responsibilities:
Ensure safe work practices, i.e., attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use
of required PPE, incident/accident reporting and ensuring total adherence to all Safety,
Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies,
procedures and guidelines.
Follow all electrical and maintenance procedures and ensure the completion of electrical
activities according to standard without causing any further damage to any installation /
system / equipment.
Ensure electrical equipment isolation, adhere to working at height and confined space
standards/ procedures, and conduct pre-start checks/ inspections.
Carry out electrical repair and preventative maintenance to maintain electrical
installations/equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve production and cost
targets.
Carry out troubleshooting, fault finding and corrective maintenance in order to solve
unplanned electrical equipment unavailability events.
Ensure that electrical practices result in maximum equipment availability.
Utilize work instructions to determine job requirements, including job sheets, quality and
quantity of materials/ resources etc.
Perform PM electrical inspection according to the maintenance requirements and ensure
preventive maintenance compliance.
Conduct electrical installations and upgrades/ modification as required.
Removal of electrical components & replacement.
Follow up of outstanding maintenance/ repairs.
Complete shift handover process.
Actively participate in training activities to gain new skills and develop full potential.
Provide appropriate on-the-job training and coaching to national personnel.
Qualification requirements:
Electrical Trade (A Grade License Certification or Equivalent)
High Voltage Switching Operator certificate.

Responsibilities
All incidents are reported and investigated according to procedure and on time.
Assist with any other accident investigation when required.

Maintain sampling at a high standards and ongoing basis operate field equipment.
Maintain high standard of record keeping of activities of other Technician and
Assistants
Ensuring the drill samples are collected in accordance with the SOP including
recording of all required information and routine quality assurance and quality
control practices.
Facilitate the timely picking-up of drilling samples from the pits and subsequent
dispatch to the laboratory.
Sort, store and retrieve pulp and coarse rejects samples.
Report oil and diesel spills and leaking equipment
Ensure an appropriate and sufficient stock of drilling program and safety
consumables is always available.
Carry out mark out to the required standard for mining.
Perform ore spotting.
Maintain equipment, vehicles and facilities.
Assist with and participate in training programs for the development of all
Geological Technicians and Assistants
Control and maintain the daily blending strategy and direct and record ore trucks
onto appropriate stockpile.
Accurate recording of daily production
Update of mining faces on dig plans
Mark out / label stockpiles as well updating faces on map.
Perform geological and / or face mapping producing maps to the standard required
for mining plans.
Accurate geological logs of drill holes
Accurate measure location of blast movement balls before and after blasting
Accurate update of geological database
Qualification requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Geology or Tertiary in Geological Technician
Knowledge in data entry software’s
Driver’s license and pit/mine driving permit
Experience and competencies needed
3-5 years’ experience in mine and exploration geology, 1 years’ experience in
operational leadership role
Experience in managing Geology consumables and costs.
The ability to coach, mentor and train Geology staff to assume higher positions of
responsibility.
Familiar with the mining environment and its associated hazards
Actively recognizes and manages hazards in their working environment.
Able to drive a 4X4 light vehicle according to LV standard operating procedure.
Able to learn rapidly from attempts, building positive experience.
Co-ordinated with a big picture focus but also an eye for detail
Able to investigate, inform and influence without intimidating or instructing.
Values leadership, working across knowledge fields and parallel processing of

Responsibilities

When instructed assist with charge up of faces, re-entry after firing and extension of
mine services.
Work with technical and supervisory staff in quality and safety initiatives.
Complete all tasks at the required rate and to the required standard.
Compliance to all applicable mine safe work procedures / safe operating procedures.
Participation in all applicable safety, prestart and shift team meetings.
Plan all trips properly and ensure all the necessary equipment is on board for each
trip.
Report any fault to responsible maintenance team and/or a Leader for all tools and
/or equipment under area of working. Do not operate substandard equipment at any
time.
Ensure the overall condition of the vehicle is excellent in accordance with company
standards.
Maintain a log of all trips, events, and fuel consumption.
Develops and updates waste management policies and procedures.
Loads material, performs excavations, clears land trenches for utilities and performs
related work involving the use of this type of heavy equipment like Backhoe Machine
Operation.
Operated a field type tractor with attached, towed mower or cutter bar, equipment
may be powered by direct drive from its wheels or a power take-off and is typically
operated with hydraulic or mechanical controls.
Operated and maneuver tractors and equipment in confined areas such as between
shrubs, trees, along fences and curbs.
Worked requires frequent arm and leg movements to operate tractors and mowing
equipment.
Performed routine equipment checks, to include limited operator maintenance,
checking and replenishing fluids to proper levels and lubricating the equipment.
Qualification requirements
Secondary School Education Certificate.
VETA Driving Certificate.
Valid Tanzanian driving license, class B, C, D and E.
Possess a Valid Tanzanian driving license, class B, C, D and E.
Able to Drive Manual Transmission/Stick Shift Transmission.
Sound knowledge of Mining Safety Regulations and best practice.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily inspection and dipping of fuel trucks and dispensing
equipment.
Reporting of any Technical deviations on the refueling equipment.
Immediate reporting of any variances in fuel levels to Fuel & Lubricant Supervisor.
Immediate reporting of all defects of fuel trucks and dispensing equipment to Fuel &
Lubricant Supervisor.
Complete the daily fuel/lube dispensing sheet with accurate data.
Ensure that correct hour meter readings of all equipment are recorded on the
dispensing sheet.
Ensure that correct quantity (in liters) of fuel is recorded against the correct
equipment on the dispensing sheet.
Ensure that equipment operator signs for the fuel.
Assisting in the repairs of the technical equipment, with the assistance of the trade’s
person.
Deliver the daily fuel dispensing sheet to the Fuel & Lubricant Supervisor after
completion of each shift.
Ensure that the fuel in the fuel truck is always secured.
Complete the fuel requisition form and present to the Fuel & Lubricant Supervisor
for authorization.
Ensure that the required liters of fuel are pumped into the fuel truck by the fuel
station pump attendant.
Deliver the daily fuel requisition form to the Fuel & Lubricant Supervisor after
completion of each shift.
Do detail inspections of fuel lines and fuel modifications of all equipment.
Report any tampering or breakages of fuel lines, fuel tanks and LAFON equipment
fitted to the equipment.
Assist with meter calibrations on the refueling vehicles.
Avoid any fuel spillages to the environment.
Treat any environmental spillages of fuel with absorbent material.
Report any spillages to the environment to the Fuel & Lubricant Supervisor.
Ensure that absorbent material is always available on the fuel truck.
Wash and clean the fuel truck after every shift.
Do escorts of fuel trucks where and when necessary.
Comply with all safety procedures of Barrick North Mara.
Comply with instructions received from the Fuel & Lubricant Supervisor.
Qualification requirements
