1. OBJECTIVES
A. CONTENT STANDARD The learner listens critically to different text-types; expresses ideas logically in oral and written
forms and demonstrates interest in reading to meet various needs.
B. PERFORMANCE The learner listens critically to news reports and other radio broadcasts and expresses ideas
STANDARD accurately in oral and in written forms; demonstrates confidence in the use of the language to
meet every day’s needs; and reads independently and gets relevant information from various
text types.

4. PROCEDURES
4.1 Introductory Activity Show pictures of the different types of viewing materials. Let them examine the pictures.
4.2 Activity/Strategy Let the students write three things available at home where they can find ideas or information.
4.3 Analysis Ask: 1. Do you enjoy viewing TV broadcasts, photographs, online videos, or digital
presentations?
2. What are the different materials that you use in viewing news or your favorite
cartoons/series?
4.4 Abstraction Discuss about the different types of viewing materials.
4.5 Application Let students answer Learning Task 1 page 32 and discuss the answers with interaction from the
class.
4.6 ASSESSMENT Pen and Paper Test: Let the students answer the exercises on Learning Task 2 page 32.
4.7 ASSIGNMENT Let the students write their assignment on Types of Viewing Materials.
