Preliminary Question(s)

1. How are students of today perceived to use technology to learn?


 In general students nowadays are known for their skills in using technology for learning purposes. This
may include watching tutorials utilizing apps conducting research, on the internet and engaging in
various digital activities. Moreover many students are taking advantage of technologies, like reality and
specialized software to enhance their understanding of subjects and support their learning journey.

2. As a future educator, how will you improve your skills in using technology for teaching and
learning?
 As a future educator I plan to enhance my teaching and learning abilities by exploring technologies
such, as educational apps, platforms and software. Additionally I will attend development courses,
collaborate with educators and observe experienced teachers. To become more adept and, at ease with
technologies I'll actively seek opportunities to experiment with them myself.

3. What then are the roles of technology for teaching and learning?
 The use of technology has the potential to completely transform the way we teach and learn. Teachers
can leverage technology to deliver meaningful lessons to students, in an more efficient manner.
Furthermore it enables them to monitor student progress and assign activities that cater to each students
unique needs. Technology grants students access to an array of resources, such as online media, content
and tools. Moreover it facilitates learning experiences, seamless collaboration, with peers increased
autonomy and the cultivation of critical thinking skills.

1. What is Digital Literacy and why it is important?


 Digital literacy encompasses the proficiency to utilize technology, communication tools and social
media for the purpose of accessing, evaluating, creating and communicating information. It is a skill that
students need to cultivate in order to stay competitive in the digital landscape. By acquiring literacy
skills students can actively. Excel in their academic and career endeavors while also equipping
themselves with the necessary resources to be well informed members of society.

2. How has the role of ICT changed?


 Over the decades there has been a significant transformation, in the role of ICT. It has become a part of
aspects of our lives including education. The impact of ICT on education has been revolutionary
changing how we conduct, access and deliver learning materials. Through the integration of resources
like videos, audios, animations and text documents ICT facilitates learning experiences. Additionally
advancements like augmented reality have empowered teachers to create educational journeys for their
students.

3. How would ICT promote collaboration among learners?


 The role of ICT has progressed beyond providing access to online resources; it now plays a crucial role
in enhancing communication and collaboration within educational settings. Leveraging ICT
technologies allows teachers to develop learning environments where they can design courses and assign
tasks such as assignments, quizzes and tests to their students. Furthermore ICT enables students to
connect with peers from around the globe and collaborate, on projects together. Accessing libraries,
databases and software tools also complements their learning journey
4. As mentioned by many, Web is an ocean of information, it provides faster access to information
sources. How would one know which one is true or fake?

 It can be difficult to distinguish between true and false information when searching the Web. To help
with this, it is important to look for reliable sources such as official government websites, peer-reviewed
journals, and credible news organizations. Additionally, cross-checking facts with multiple sources can
help verify the accuracy of information.

5. Productivity software like word processor and electronic spreadsheet have many features such as
spelling and grammar checker and compute numeric data (instantly), respectively, that would
help the learners’ finish the task in little time. Does the use of these software and the like hone
student thinking skills? Why or why not?

 Productivity software can certainly help students save time, but it may not necessarily hone their
thinking skills as this largely depends on their engagement in learning activities.
