ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

It gives e immense pleasure to present this

project. I acknowledge my humble and sincere
indebtedness to our principal Mr. William
D’SOUZA for providing excellent facilities and
encouragement despite of multiple
responsibilities. I wish to place in record my
deep sense of reverence and gratitude to our
chemistry teacher Ms. Manisha Sharma for her
keen interest, tireless effort and constructive
guidance which have sustained my efforts at all
stages of this undertaking. Also I would like to
acknowledge Sir Basant, our Lab Assistant for
his help and kind attitude.
This work bears the impact of many people
who made significant contribution in formal
and informal way. I would like to thank each
and everyone.

INTRODUCTION OF CHEMICAL KINETICS

Chemical kinetics, also known as reaction

kinetics, the branch of physical chemistry
that is concerned with understanding the
rates of chemical reactions. It is to be
contrasted with thermodynamic, Which
deals with the direction I which a process
occurs but I itself tells nothing about its
rate. Chemical Kinetics includes
investigations of how different
experimental conditions cam influence the
speed of a chemical reactions and yield
information about the reaction’s
mechanism and transition states ,a well as
the construction of mathematical models
that also can describe the characteristics of
a chemical reaction.
CHANGE IN CONCENTRATION WITH TIME
A rate law simply tells you how the rate of reaction
changes as reactant concentrations change.

COLLOSION THEORY
 Collision theory used to predict the rates of
chemical reactions, particularly for gases.
 Rate constants used to vary with temperature
 Consequently, the actual rate of a reaction is
significant temperature dependent.
 The rate dependence on temperature can be
explained by the “Collision Theory”.
 The Collision Theory assumes that for a reaction
to occur, reactant molecules must collide with
enough energy and the proper orientation.
 The minimum energy of collision required for
two molecules to react is called Activation
Energy.

CONCLUSION

presentation were:
