ABOUT THE EVENT
BIZZEST 2023
GREAT
GOALS
For the very first time, LJ’s Integrated MBA is
organizing BIZZEST 2023. BIZZEST is a management
fest with a twist of fun. It aims at covering all the key
domains of management. Business ideas can be
formulated from any inspiration at any time, may it
be with your friends on a tissue paper in a café or may
it be a binder of perfectly curated path to a successful
business that you have been preparing since high
school. The event will allow the participants to put
their blueprints of ideas into motion. Our efforts are
to make this event educational, realistic and fun at
the same time by providing a solid platform for future
managers and entrepreneurs.

The event will be in 3 phases. The first phase will be a


formal business pitch. Teams can select any product /
service category from Food & Beverages,
Entertainment, Fashion, Ecofriendly/Handicraft Art or
any other of their choice. The best and most feasible
idea will be taken forward. Next round will be a live
auction, in which an auction will be held for the stalls.
The third round will be a fun fair, where the selected
business ideas will be given a chance to showcase
and sell their products. They will showcase their
products on a stall they bid.
BASIC
GUIDELINES
1. Participants per team – 2-4 members.
2. Teams must be from same batch (i.e., members must be
from the same semester)
3. Registration fees is Rs. 250 per team to be paid via QR.
Team will have to pay registration fees from 10th Jan to
16thJan 2023 before 3 pm at admin office (during college
hours)
4. One student can only participate in one team.
5. No changes will be entertained after the registration
process.
6. Team will not be allowed to sell anything that is not pre-
approved by the jury.
Round 1: Pitch for a plan
18th & 19th January 2023
This is your time to shine. Pitch your startup idea and
make sure it stands out. Substantiate that your pitch is
flawless as everything from your market knowledge
affiliated with your idea, to your creativity and
efficiency.

Rules:
- Prepare a logo
- Revenue model
- How you can differentiate your product/service
- Time to pitch – 4 minutes
- Question and answers – 1 minute
- Marks will be deducted if the time is extended.
- Decision of the jury will be final. No clarifications will
be given on the day.
(If you need feedback on your pitch, you can contact the
concerned faculty after 25th Jan)

Evaluation criteria:
- Time limit
- Strategy
- Uniqueness of product/service or value
- Pitching skills
- Answers to follow up questions
Round 2: Buyout
21st January 2023

1. Two members from each team will represent their


respective teams in auction.
2. Auction will be based on three main categories of stalls
(Premium, executive, and economy)
3. Categories for products/services –
• Food & beverages
• Art/ Handicraft/ eco-friendly
• Fashion
• Entertainment
• Others
4. Once the bid is done, team will not be allowed to
withdraw
5. Decision of the judge will be final. No clarifications will
be given.
6. The payment of buyout will be in cash between 9 am – 12
pm in the admin office on 23rd January 2023, Monday.
7. If any team fails to do so, they will be disqualified.
8. Please note that for safety purpose, Gas and Electrical
Equipments are not allowed.
Round 3: Business Mela
25th January 2023

1. The stalls will be set up from 8 am till 4 pm.


2. No electric connection will be provided to the stalls.
3. All the transactions will happen in form of Bizzest
currency.
Note: If found cheating or practicing unfair means, the
team will be disqualified.
