Loránd University, in Budapest, Hungary.
2016 APA Division 52 Henry David International Mentoring Award. Award for
exceptional service as mentor to international students and for mentoring
students in international psychology. Nominated once before in 2014.
2015 Kenyon College Trustee Teaching Excellence Award. Awarded by the
Kenyon Board of Trustees for junior faculty for innovation in teaching.
(Funded $5,000). Nominated twice before in 2008 & 2010.
2011, 2013, Outstanding Faculty Award Nominee. Given by the Kenyon Greek Assoc

2020 Consortium on High Achievement and Success (CHAS) Award. Received
a grant, along with Prof. Simon Garcia, to create a website to inform and
guide liberal arts institutions in supporting faculty of color (Amount: $4,168).

2019 Supporting Faculty of Color in the Classroom. Co-wrote grant, along with
Profs. Simon Garcia (Chemistry) and Alejandra Colmenares’19 that would
help support faculty of color with their pedagogical practices (Supported
through HHMI Funding Grant.)
2018 HHMI Intensive Training Program. Stipend awarded to attend training on
inclusive practices in the natural sciences.
2018 Do You See What I See? Perspective Taking in Photography and
Psychotherapy. Gund Gallery Award for collaboration with Photographer
Rania Matar. (Funded: $10,000).
2016 Diversifying Study Abroad Grant. Presented at the Diversity Abroad
Conference on inclusive teaching practices that attract
underrepresented students to study abroad. Funded by Kenyon’s Faculty
Teaching Initiative Grant. (Funded: $1,582).
2016 Global Course Connection Travel Grant. Received a GLCA teaching grant
to travel to Slovakia to meet with Prof. Feldman of Effat University (Saudi
Arabia) to work on virtually connecting on cross-cultural psychology
classes. Class sizes: 25 and 30, respectively.
2013 Community Based and Service-Learning Grant. Attended summer
workshop on how to integrate service learning and community-based

interventions in the classroom. Funded by Kenyon’s Teacher Teaching
Teachers Grant. (Funded: $16,300).
2013 Culturally Responsive Pedagogy Grant. Initiative by the Latino Studies
Faculty that created a two-day college-wide initiative on culturally
responsive pedagogy. Funded by Kenyon’s Center for Innovative

2013 Flipping the Classroom Grant To Improve Quantitative Reasoning. Initiative
by faculty members in the math and natural science departments, to
support a pilot program on flipping the classroom. Funded by Kenyon’s

Joint initiative that funded training on how faculty could integrate

photovoice project with domestic violence shelters in Puerto Rico in order
to document gender-based violence ($75,000).
2017 APA Supre Award. Joint grant proposal with Profs. Sarah Murnen and
Dana Krieg to fund summer research assistants to work in our gender and
culture lab. ($28,836.00 - Not funded).
2011 NIMH Early Career Investigator International Travel Award. Travel award
given to attend the Wellcome Trust Global Mental Health Networking
Workshop and World Mental Health Congress of the World Federation for
Mental Health in Cape Town, South Africa (Funded: $5,000).

in Global Scholarship Grant with Profs David Alvarez, DePauw and
Associate Provost Christine Hahn, Kalamazoo College, to jointly review
best practices in promoting global learning at liberal arts campuses
(Submitted).
2019 GLCA Globalizing the Curriculum From First Year And Beyond: A Campus
Innovation Fund Proposal to Enhance the Curriculum at Kenyon College.
Co-wrote an institutional grant, with Profs. Pamela Camerra-Rowe, to help
globalize the Kenyon curriculum (Under review: $124,000).
2017 GLCA Coordinating Global Learning at Kenyon College. Wrote a GLCA
Innovation Grant that established a Global Learning Coordinator and
Global Learning Committee for Kenyon. Grant also helped fund pilot
projects that involve short-term embedded course travel. ($23,000).
2017 GLCA Border Studies in the Liberal Arts: An Interdisciplinary Teaching and
Research Workshop. Co-wrote a grant with Franklin University Switzerland
to host a summer faculty workshop on border studies in Lugano,
Switzerland. ($20,680).
2017 GLCA Inter-institutional Visit to Effat University. Travel grant to conduct a
site visit, with Prof. Julie Brodie, of Dance, to review the Performing Arts
program and Psychology Program at Effat University.

2017 Peace Corp Prep at Kenyon College. Co-wrote a grant to help establish
Kenyon College as a Peace Corp Prep school.

Guatemalan Youth Ambassador Program” which established a youth
mentorship and empowerment program for Guatemalan students.
2012 Davis Peace Prize (Not funded). Olivia Siulagi. Cassandra Dempwolf, &
Lamont Williams (all former Kenyon in Rome students) submitted a grant to
partner with the Joel Nafuma refugee Center in Rome to create an
English language program for refugees.

2017-2018 Director of Latino Studies Concentration. One of three co-founders of the
2014-2015 Studies concentration in 2011 (one of the largest concentrations on
campus). In charge of budgeting and programming of campus-wide
events. Mentor to new concentrators.
2017-2020 Member, Institute for International Education of Students (IES) Abroad
Curriculum Committee. Kenyon College representative for the IES
curriculum committee.
2018 Presidential Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion, Member.
2015-2019 Global Crossroads Alliance Liaison. Kenyon College. Campus liaison for
the Great Lakes College Association (GLCA) Global Crossroads Initiative.
Aim of the program is to help a consortium of 29 domestic and
international schools internationalize their curricula. Part of a four-year
$5.75 million-dollar grant awarded by the Mellon Foundation. Activities
include: grant writing, helping schools globally connect and coordinating
joint programming.

and was part of a nation-wide task force dedicated toward helping
