INVESTITURE CEREMONY

Nishtha: A very hearty morning to all of you present here.

Good morning everyone. I Nishatha of class 8 and I Prasidhi of Class 9
welcome you all to this beautiful morning of splendour. As you all know we
have assembled here to celebrate a propitious occasion- The Investiture
Ceremony of the school.
Prasidhi: Talking about the importance of this Ceremony, well. It is an official
celebration of a person’s installation to his authority, power, right and office. It
is one of the most awaited celebrations in any educational institution.
Nishtha: Today is the day to have our leaders of newly elected Students
Council for the session 2022-23 to be honoured and entrusted with their
authorities and responsibilities to be performed with utmost devotion,
dedication and discipline and to uphold the glory of the school and take it to the
zenith of success. Today we are to witness one more year as we induct the New
Council for the session 2022-23
Prasidhi: We are extremely delighted to have amongst us the presence of our
Our Chairperson Dr Ekta Sindhu, who is the backbone of this esteemed
institution. Without her the magnificent achievement and standing of the school
would be unattainable. Give a huge round of applause to welcome Ekta Ma’am.
Nishtha:Join your hands to welcome the honourable Director Principal Mr
Indranil Gupta. Sir, your incessant support and tireless efforts have made a huge
difference in the working and shaping of the school and we are sure Indus
Public School Rohtak will continue to grow leaps and bounds.
Prasidhi: We also take this opportunity to welcome all the teachers and
students present here.
With utmost pleasure and humility I would like to invite Dr Ekta Sindhu,
Chairperson, Indus Group of Institutions and The Director Principal Mr Indranil
Gupta to come to the stage for the lamp lighting ceremony.
Nishtha: Dear Almighty, into your hands we place our worries, cares, and
troubles. Into your Wisdom, we place our path, direction, and goals. Into your
love, we place our lives.”So, let us begin this aspiring day with His prayers. No
event can be complete until we invoke the blessings of Goddess of Education
Saraswati. I would like to invite the Choir Group on the stage for Saraswati
Vandana.
Prasidhi: Foreseeing the welfare of the students’ future to train them in
leadership skills the school’s student’s council was selected after rigorous and
democratic process of Election in which the students had to go through one
person one vote concept to get selected for the much coveted student’s council
body.

Now I would request Mohit to come forward and seek permission to start
the proceedings.

Nishtha: Boys and girls please put your hands together as the newly formed
student council comes on the stage.

Here we have our Leaders set ready to shoulder their responsibilities with full

honor and conviction.

Nishatha: Now I would invite Our Director Principal Sir to come on the stage

and interact with the council members.

Dear Students you are called to be leaders to lead, and be a role model to your
fellow friends, you have greater responsibilities to make your leadership to be
more effective. On this gracious moment in the presence of all gathered here, I
wish to examine your competence to be leaders of tomorrow to carry out the
assignment you have been entrusted with.

I would like to give a famous quote of Martin Luther King Jr here. I QUOTE
‘I am not interested in power for power’s sake but I am interested in power
that is moral, that is right and that is good.’
Nishtha: Students of today are the visionaries of tomorrow. They are the ones
who lay the foundation today which turns into a benchmark tomorrow and
becomes a legacy of any institution. They are our torchbearers. When we
develop personality, skill and mind we develop responsible human beings with
leadership qualities which is essential for any society to grow.
Prasidhi. Badge is a symbol or a token which is awarded for a particular
accomplishment. It is an honor given for a person’s remarkable performance
and contribution.
It is now time to felicitate our Council Members. I would now request the
Chairperson Dr Ekta Sindhu and Director Principal Mr Indranil Gupta to kindly
felicitate the students.

Nishtha: We begin the morning proceedings with most honored position in the
Board of honours. i.e. the Head Boy, Head Girl and Vice Head Boy and Vice
Head Girl.
Mohit of Grade 12 C is the Head Boy for the year 2022-23. A student in the
Commerce Stream Mohit is known for his cool and composed self. He is
meticulous and a true performer. He believes in doing things and leading by
example. All these qualities of his have helped him get this coveted position.
Prasidhi. Ojasvi of Grade 12 A is the Head girl of the school. A supporting
persona she is an epitome of excellence and compassion. She believes in Smart
Work and does the work to the utmost precision.
Nishtha: We now come to the Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl who are
students of Grade 10.
Diligent, Respectful, Humble are some of the words that best describe
_________________the Vice Head Boy a student of Grade 10.
Prasidhi. Kashvi is the chosen Vice Head Girl who is known for her simplicity
and passion to learn more. She is a go getter and would surely fulfil her duties
with zeal and enthusiasm.
A huge round of applause for our front Runners.

Nishtha: The one with a true team spirit and the fire in him to achieve laurels
for the school is none other than Aarav Nandal the Sports Captain of the
school. An avid archery person, Aarav a student of the Science stream knows
well how to balance studies and sports.
Prasidhi. Aaryan Singh of Class 11 is the Vice Sports Captain of the school.
He is a keen football player. His enthusiasm and zeal to excel will surely instill
a positive energy in all sports enthusiasts.
Nishtha: The Literary and CulturaL Captain for the year is __________ He
believes in delivering his best on every occasion. As he is handed over the post
we wish him all the best.

Prasidhi. Divyansh of Class 10 A is the newly selected Literary and Cultural

Vice Captain of the School.

Nishtha: Apt to the point of perfection. well, our discipline prefects are
Obedient , Punctual, well mannered. Discipline Captain is ___________ He is
self disciplined and a person who leads by example .Wishing him a great year
ahead.

Prasidhi. The chosen Discipline Vice Captain is__________. He is one on

whom if you instill a responsibility, it can be completed to the T. He has
leadership skills and grabs opportunities as they come his way.

Nishtha: The smartest & most energetic students with wonderful leadership
qualities are chosen to lead the various houses.

The Beas House Captain is Divija of class 12 D. She has an affirmative

outlook towards being a leader and will surely lead the house from the front.

The Beas House Vice Captain is _______________. He is a motivated

person indeed who will lead the house from the front and bring laurels to the
house. Wishing him all the best.

Prasidhi. The Jhelum House Captain is Riya Barak of class 12 . She has been
actively involved in school activities. Wishing her all the best in making her

The Jhelum House Vice Captain Himanshi who is a responsible person. She
rises upto her call of duty and does not fail to perform even in the most difficult
of times. Wishing her an enriching innings ahead.

Nishtha: _The Ravi House Captain is Shalu of class 12 D. A responsible

and methodical person. Shalu with her positive outlook will surely take her

The Ravi House Vice Captain is Aaryan Sharma. He is known for her active
participation in various competitions. Wishing him all the best.

initiator and under his initiative the house will definitely go the right way.

Prasidhi: We know that success is not a destination but a journey believing in

the philosophy that victory belongs to those who have the maximum
perseverance. Those who are entrusted with responsibilities must promise the
ones who have the confidence in them to fulfil their duties. So, it is now time to
administer the oath.

May I request Director Principal Indranil Sir to kindly administer the oath.

To be spiritually conscious, socially responsible and morally upright is the core
dimension of any institution and we at Indus Public School Rohtak live by it.
The person who has been the guiding principle is none other than the
Chairperson, Dr Ekta Sindhu. Ma’am is a visionary, a multi faceted personality
who believes that success is the sum total of small efforts repeated day in and
day out. She has been the beacon of light for all of us. I would now request Our
Chairperson Ekta ma’am to kindly address the gathering.

Any institution works under the aegis of a successful and powerful mentor. I
