Annual Sports Day 2023-24

Introduction of the Programme:-
Rashi - "Sports improves our competence brings
in top level brilliance. Sports bring out our mettle
give strength to face life's battle.
Nivedha - Sports give strength to face life's battle.
Sports are the key to self-reliance way to accept
mistakes without defiance. Sports illuminate
team spirit in students. Sports makes a boy a man
builds their strength ten on ten".
Nehal- I request our parents to kindly take their
seats.
A very good morning to one and all present here.
We all have gathered today for the Annual Sports
Event that is going to fill every one of us with
oodles of power, Self-confidence and of course
winning spirit. We will soon see the competitive
spirit reaching greater heights, happy cheers, the
joys of running and proud of giving our best. The
event is our favourite ‘Annual Sports Day'.

1.Escorting of the chief guest –

Nivedha -Now we have our chief guest arrived
escorted by Principal Sir. Anil Sir And council
members.
As our honourable guest has arrived, the magic
has spread in the environment. It’s time for us to
welcoming him/them with a great round of
applause.

2. Welcome of the chief guest & lighting of lamp :-

Nehal - I feel honoured to welcome our chief

guest , Mr. Govind Podar sir & our guest of
honour Mr .Kishor Kale sir and or GM sir , Mr.
Sameer Wagle sir.

Saachi- Our chief guest, Mr. Govind Podar sir is vice

Principle of Gangamai Engineering college , Nagaon.
Rashi - and Our guest of honour, Mr. Kishor Kale is
the additional SP off police of Dhule.
We welcome our beloved respected GM sir, Mr.
Wagle sir . We feel privileged by your presence in
our important events.I now request all the
dignitaries and our
Respective coordinators, sports teacher Parvez Sir
and Anil Sir to light the lamp.
 Nivedha - Light and brightness represent the
positive and the good spirit. This lamp reminds us
of peace and positive brightness and it ensure
success and divine grace. It signifies using
upwards and dispel darkness.

3. Felicitation of chief guest and PTA members :-

 Nehal - I request our tiny tots to present a token
of love to our chief guest, guest of honour and
our GM sir.
We also welcome the very supportive PTA
members of our school. I again request the
children to welcome our PTA members.

4. House wise March Pass :-

Nehal - The first event of sports meet is a perfect
blend of hard work and synchronisation and has
become a tradition of our school that is the
March Past by the students led by the School
Head boy Parth Pawar and the Head girl Siddhi
Dharmadhikari and the respective house
Captains and Vice Captains.
Nivedha - But before that let me inform you
about the theme of our Sports Day. The theme is
“Laksha” As we truly believe that courage starts
with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.
Halima - "We now have our twinkling little stars of
grade one and two. Kindly give them a huge
round of applause. We can see that they are
marching with great energy and are smiling with
great excitement. Dear Parents Kindly motivate
them with a huge round of applause.
Vedant - The first ones to march after the head
boy and head girl are the council members
marching with great energy. These members play
a very important role in various faculties as far as
academics and co-curricular activities are
concerned and thus help in the smooth
functioning of the school.
Halima - Now is the march by the four distinctive
houses.
Halima - The first house is Aqua. Dear parents the
Aqua house is marching magnificiently led by the
House Captain Mahi Jain and vice captain Mahi
Bafna.
Vedant - The next house is Ventus. Ventus house
is led by captain Swanand Dharne and vice
captain Leena Tele.
Vedant - The last ones to march are the band
students. It’s a pleasure to witness our band
members marching with military precision on the
tune of the drum beats.
Halima - Yes ladies and gentleman, please
motivate our young marching soldiers with a huge
round of applause. It was a crisp captivating and
smart march past. The students were trained by
our teachers we are thankful to our teachers for
the efforts taken by them.

7. Olympic Torch run :-

Nivedha - We will now begin the celebration with
the torch run ceremony which is considered to be
one of the important and momentous facets of
sports day. The torch will be illuminate here.

8. Oath ceremony :-
Nivedha- We shall now have the oath ceremony.
We all know that an oath symbolises our
commitment and dedication towards a cause.
This ceremony inculcate sportsman’s spirit
amongst all of us. Every game is played fair and
will be played fair. The oath will be taken by
the Head boy Parth Pawar.
Vedant - Thank you Parth Pawar. The oath was
taken solemnly. I wish we all should put this oath
into practice as we proceed with the sports day.

Halima - Success and failure are both parts of
sports as well as life. So now its time to celebrate
this joy and to acknowledge the brimming
sportsmanship of Podar International School. Let
us felicitate the students who have participated
and won in the various state and district level
competitions.

Next is the Boys-Bag and I-card passing race for
grade 3rd and for girls it is the hula-hu ring passing
race. Dear parents kindly motivate them with your

The competition has begun, with everyone putting
in their best effort, and we found our winner.

B. IV Boys- frog jump 30m +tap 70m flat running

race and Girls -hopping 30m + tap 70 m running
(2students in a team )
Now we have the standard 4th boys frog jump and
flat running race. It will be followed by the hopping
and running race for the girls. We must encourage
the students to try their best with an applause.
The race has started and everyone is giving their
best. And now we have a winner
 C. IX and X Girls -200m flat running race
The time has come for the IX and X Girls 200m flat
running race. Kindly be ready for the race and I
wish you all the best.

students have already picked up quite a speed,

time for the housewise relay race. The house-wise
relay race emphasises teamwork and determination,
rather than merely speed. I ask all athletes to be
prepared on the track.
The race has now begun and we can see that every
student is trying his/her hardest. And now we have a
winner.
