    > COVID-19 test is conducted with a kit approved by ICMR / CE-IVD,hy

    > Kindly consult Referring Physcian / Authorized Government Hospital for appropriate follow up.

    > Negative result does not rule out the possibilty of Covid 19 infection. Presence of inhibitors, mutations and

    insufficient RNA specific to SARS-CoV-2 can influence the test result. Kindly correlate the result with clinical findings

    > "The lab is accredited for molecular testing by NABL & Covid testing is not a scope of NABL,

    but duly permitted by ICMR".

    Disclaimer :

    There are no reliable studies to definitively prove a direct corrlation between disease serverity /

    infectiousness and Ct values, therefore it is not recommended to rely on numerical Ct values for determining

    infectiousness of COVID-19 patients and deciding patient management protocols.

    COVID - 19 TESTING - SARS - CoV-2 RNA


    Limitations :

    Covid 19 Qualitative RT PCR test is an in vitro qualitative PCR assay for th qualitative ditection of
    Novel Corona Virus 2019 in respiratory specimens.

    Test is conducted on Nasopharyngeal swab / Oropharyngeal swabs and other respiratory specimens
    Collected in viral transport media.

    Detection of confirmatory genes indicates presence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in the specimen tested
    Negative results do not preclude SARS-CoV-2 infection and should not be used as the sole basis for

    patient management decisions. They must be correlated with clinical observations, patient history
    and epidemiological information.
