Telecom A robust communications network built and operated by national telecom operators has been set up across Sri City, giving business units and residents multiple options for their data and voice requirements. Gas Gas will be supplied to Sri City through a national network that is currently under construction. This network runs along the western boundary of Sri City. Water The Government of Andhra Pradesh has allocated 81 MLD water to Sri City from a nearby reservoir. Sri City is also bestowed with a number of natural lakes which are used to store water. The distribution system ensures sufficient pressure to discharge the required quantities of water at the boundary of each unit on a 24x7 basis. Sewerage The sewerage system discharges the sewage into a treatment plant where it is treated to public discharge standards, and the recycled water is used for horticultural and industrial purposes. Storm Water Drainage The storm water drainage network within Sri City collects and channels the storm water into specific storage reservoirs and flood canals.

A 68m wide arterial road traverses Sri City and connects all major junctions. The arterial road branches out into internal roads of 47m and 31m width with service lanes, making Sri Citys road network a unique development in the region. Utilities The utility networks run alongside the roads in pre-defined corridors. Power Sri City has an allocation of 450 MW of power from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. A number of sub-stations have been planned to distribute power at different voltages of 220/132/33/11 kV. In addition, a number of power plants of over 8000 MW are planned at Krishnapatnam port, 100 km north-east of Sri City. The first plant is slated to be commissioned in 2011. Large consumers can purchase power directly from the power producer on a contract basis.

Rediscover Life at Sri City The mundane is out. Let life play catch-up with you at Sri City. Set amidst serene nature with a range of scenic spots within short distances, Sri City is close to many breathtaking locales that offer a diverse range of activities like boating, fishing, trekking, camping and swimming. The science enthusiasts can watch rocket launches, while the nature lovers can just saunter around the green environs and watch rare species of birds. For adventure seekers, there are the rarely explored hills and breathtaking waterfalls. As a true Work-Live-Learn-Play destination, the play at Sri City hardly deserves to come last! Pulicat Lake Pulicat Lake, one of Indias largest salt water lagoons, is located just outside Sri City. The lake is spread over 350 sq km, and encompasses a bird sanctuary visited by rare species of birds. Punting, sailing, and restricted fishing are activities that the lake offers. The lake is separated from the Bay of Bengal by a narrow barrier island which includes Pulicat town. Pulicat town is also the site of grand 17th century structures built by Dutch settlers in the region. The historic structures, now maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India, include a fort, church, tombs and mausoleums.

The breathtaking Tada Falls are located about 20 km from Sri City, within the Kambakam forest. While the secluded falls make a great picnic spot, the rugged beauty of the pathway that leads to it from the nearest access road makes it a popular trekking trail. Sriharikota Sriharikota is the barrier island that separates Pulicat Lake from the Bay of Bengal. Sriharikota is home to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre which houses Indias only satellite launch facility. The main launch pads at the space centre can be seen from a vantage point within Sri City, offering breathtaking views of launches. The Space Centre also permits guided tours of its premises and the launch pads, with prior permission. Ramagiri Hills The Ramagiri hills are a rocky hill formation interspersed with dense vegetation, located to the west of Sri City. It is a popular destination for trekking and camping due to its intrinsic beauty. The hills are endowed with a number of streams and small water bodies which adventure seekers use to refresh themselves. The peaks offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, which include many fresh and unexplored spots.
