FENOMASTIC PRIMER
Product description
Fenomastic Primer is a high performance water borne primer based on a special, high quality,
alkali resistant acrylic binder. Fenomastic Primer is specially formulated to achieve a better
penetration into the substrate.
Recommended use
Fenomastic Primer is most suitable for fully cured new cement plastered
walls,ceilings,concrete, gypsum board partitions, GRC works etc. It is very important
to use Fenomastic Primer on all areas where better penetration and alkali
resistance are a high priority.
Benefits of using Fenomastic Primer : Deeper penetration into plaster and concrete
gives a better adhesion to the surface Superior alkali resistance offers the best
protection against alkali attack when applied onto a fully cured new cement plastered,
concrete surface.

Surface preparation
The substrate must be sound, clean, dry, free from dust, oil, grease and laitance etc. All traces
of release agents must be removed. On chalky and dusty surfaces, all loose material must be
removed by stiff bristle brushing. Sufficient rubbing of all areas with sandpaper followed by dust
cleaning should precede the application of Fenomastic Primer in order to secure the best
penetration possible.
Condition during application

The temperature of the substrate should be min. 10°C and min. 3°C above the dew point of the
air, temperature and relative humidity measured in the vicinity of the substrate.

Mixing ratio (volume) Single pack.
Thinner/Cleaner WaterClean Water. Maximum 5% may be added to facilitate easier
application. Water may also be used for moistening and cleaning of
painting tools.

Spray angle 65° - 80°
Filter Check to ensure that filters are clean.
Drying time
Minimum 1 hour - Higher humidity retards drying.

It may be necessary to apply a coat of Fenomastic Primer after Stucco in certain circumstances.

Storage
The product must be stored in accordance with national regulations. The product must be kept in
a cool and well-ventilated place, protected from heat and direct sunlight. Containers must be
kept tightly closed.
Handling
Handle with care. Stir well before use.

conditions. Do not breathe or inhale mist. Avoid skin contact. Spillage on the skin should
immediately be removed with suitable cleanser, soap and water. Eyes should be well flushed with
water and medical attention sought immediately.
