ANNOTATION
In this lesson, I used the Inquiry Based principle in teaching, wherein I let my pupils
use their senses in perceiving our lesson because inquiry base is an approach of
acquiring or obtaining information thru investigation carried out by the learners who are
eager to know the phenomenon in question. As learners investigate, they build they are
understanding and create meaning and new knowledge on the certain content /topic.
The process of inquiry begins with gathering information and data through seeing,
hearing, touching, and tasting. To explain this my subject is in English language. It is
difficult for a grade one pupil to understand the language that’s why I utilize a song to
motivate and introduce the lesson. For this method my pupils will investigate through
their listening skills and using their eyes. While doing this they will become familiar with
the lyrics of the song and then as a teacher I will give them a follow up discussion
regarding it so that they will understand what the song is all about and then I can also
introduce the lesson to them. It is in my creativity of discussing where they easily grasp
the lesson which is polite expressions. After that I will use a video for our developmental
phase. Here their senses will be used again. They will see and listen to the dialogue
and by these they will discover more about polite expressions.
