NET Receiver Folding Instructions

G3 & HK91/93/33/53/51
HKPARTS.NET receiver flat part numbers: HKP-00006 & HKP-02320

PLEASE READ THROUGH ENTIRE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING

1. Center jig base on press with the smaller opening facing upwards.
2. Set the receiver on top of the jig and line up the receiver locating eyelets (holed tabs on each end) with the
matching hole diameter and offset in the jig. Insert either the 1/4” or 3/8” dowels into the corresponding holes in
the jig.

3. Position the receiver flat on the jig base with the inside of the receiver facing upwards, the two locating dowels
passed through the locating eyelets on both ends of the receiver, and ejection port deflector lip over the notch in
the jig shoulder.

4. Slide the ramrod dowel over the two vertical positioning dowels with the machined groove side facing upwards.
Lubricate the dowels before installing ramrod in order to avoid binding in the press.

5. Insert the two ¼” flat bars into the groove of the ramrod dowel and slide the square bending bar’s channel over
the two ¼” vertical bars.

6. Center the square bending bar under the ram and slowly press the jig into the receiver. When ram bottoms out,
STOP, do not continue to press the receiver once the press bottoms out and the receiver has stopped folding.
Expect to see a large gap between the left and right side of the receiver once folded. WATCH FOR UNEVEN
BENDING OR BINDING. If one side of the receiver is bending faster than the other, retract ram and adjust
position to apply more pressure towards the end that is folding slower. The jig components WILL NOT fail
unless the assembly is misaligned and the operator continues to press the assembly. Replacement parts are
available at an additional charge.

7. Remove assembly from press, rotate jig base so that the larger aperture is facing upwards. Repeat pressing
process. DO NOT continue to actuate ram once the receiver has bottomed out. There will still be a gap in the
receiver. Now that you have completed the folding process, cut off the eyelet tabs at both ends of the receiver.
Leaving the tabs attached will distort the ends of the receiver during the following steps.

The following steps require a professional’s level of firearm experience. HK Parts does not recommend that
these steps be performed by novices. It is critical that all build components are present for test fitment during the
following steps. The receiver will require extensive massaging before the cocking tube, stock, bolt carrier, etc.
will fit and function properly.

8. IF receiver cocking tube channel is out of round: Set up assembly as in step 7 (but without the dowels and
positioning eyelets that were removed in step 8). While keeping the jig components static, rotate the receiver
(forward or backwards) to position the ram dowel against the material out of round. Actuate the press taking care
to not smash any external features of the receiver. Repeat this process with either the large or small sides of the
jig while checking component fitment.
9. IF receiver cocking tube channel requires the bottom gap to be reduced: Place the receiver upside down in a
smooth-jaw vise. Place the ram dowel inside the cocking tube channel. Position the two 3/16” dowels between
the vise jaws and the bottom of the exterior of the cocking tube channel. The ejection port deflector lip will
preclude the dowel from running the entire length of the receiver on that side. Therefore, the pressing operation
will require two steps. Place the dowel on either side of the ejection port lip and tighten the vise jaws around the
receiver to the desired shape. Repeat this step with the dowel on the opposite side of the ejection port lip. This
process will also draw the receiver closer together.

10. IF bolt fits too tightly in receiver: Place receiver in the jig (narrow or wide side depending on desired
articulation points). Place the 7/8” diameter G3 press dowel in the receiver with the groove facing upwards.
Insert the ¼” vertical press bars and the press block into the groove and press in the vise to increase the ID of the
cocking tube channel. Take care to test fit components as you bend, flip the jig if necessary, and repeat steps 9
and 10 to refine the overall shape.

Welding the receiver: The receiver will need

to be clamped closed and welded. We
recommend that the receiver be thoroughly
manipulated to accept the components prior to
welding. Further massaging may be necessary
after the receiver has been welded to perfect
the cocking tube channel and bolt carrier
shape. After welding, repeat steps 9-11 as
necessary to ensure all components fit
precisely and can actuate within the assembly
as necessary.
DISCLAIMER: This entire process requires
significant mechanical aptitude and patience.
We strongly recommend this process only be
executed by professional gunsmiths and the
finished assembly be INSPECTED AND
TESTED BY A CERTIFIED GUNSMITH
PRIOR TO CYCLING LIVE ROUNDS.
