1. PURPOSE:
Purpose of this Method Statement is to do mock-up of solar PV modules and its mounting structure by
fixing PV modules and mounting structure onto the roof of SeaWorld in accordance with the standards &
specifications

Brief details of role and responsibilities of key personals involved in the activity are given below.
Project Manager
Overall responsible for the implementation of this method statement with detail activities as delegated to
the Construction. Which includes but not limited to approving safety programs and ensuring that all aspects
of the program are implemented and adhered to.
He also ensures managerial staff of the Project team is aware of the HSE requirements and are
implementing the same during the Project execution.
To ensure that all reasonably practicable measures are taken to protect and promote the Health, safety and
welfare of the workforce and to protect the environment
Shall provide full support to HSEMS to ensure that all site managers and supervision staffs take
responsibility of HSE
Construction Manager
Responsible for the coordination with Project Engineers, Site Engineer, Foremen, and Surveyors will ensure
that the installation of activities as carried out according to the drawings and specifications.
Promote a culture in which HSE are the prime concern that shall never be compromised.
Shall monitor and review the overall project HSE performance and implement timely mitigation and
corrective action(s).
To ensure that the installation of activities as carried out according to the approved drawings and
specifications.
Make sure HSE are the prime concern that shall never be compromised through constant training and
supervision by HSE team.
Ensure that safe systems of work are defined and documented, and that hazard analysis and risk control
methods have been incorporated during the preparation
QA/QC Engineer
To ensure that site personnel are aware of requirements and that works are carried out as per project’s
requirements. They are responsible for the implementation of related QA/QC activities as detailed in
relevant QCP’s and ITP’s. They will also coordinate with site team and store if the materials are delivered to
site as per approved material.

HSE Supervisor/Engineer
Are delegated supporting roles to assist managers and supervisors to fulfil their accountabilities.
To ensure implementation of all safety procedures and precautions, safety measures related to the nature
of works being carried out and in accordance to the HSE Plan.
Promote a culture in which health, safety and the environment are the prime concern and shall never be
compromised
Co-ordinate in House Safety Trainings and Safety toolbox talks with all levels of the work force
Promote the involvement of all employees in improving safety and the environment.
Conduct daily site inspection along with site HSE team to monitor the HSE operation status.
Report to the Project Manager or his designate on all matters relating to health, safety and the
environment.
Co-ordinate with the action of contractors CRM during any Emergency Situations.

Ensure all required documents (SD, MSS, RA, and ITP, Confined space
entry permit etc.) have been approved prior to start of activity.
All the risks and hazards involved in the activities has been identified
and assessed in the risk assessment. Refer to Attached Risk
Assessment.
The activity shall commence as per agreed construction Programme.
Ensure proper access and egress has been maintained throughout the
progress.
Ensure sufficient lighting is in place prior to starting the activity.
All operatives involved in the activity shall be briefed with the risk
assessment and tool box talks to be held.
All the operatives of the plant and equipment must be licensed /
trained and certified through legally registered agencies.
The working area will be properly barricaded or isolated using warning
tapes where applicable.
No Objection certificates shall be obtained from all concerned
departments / authorities prior to commencement of work.

7.3 Methodology
Unload the PV Modules pallet (or individual PV modules) carefully
from storage to the installation location.
Minimum two persons will handle each PV module to lift and fix to
supporting structure
Each PV will be fixed using mid clamps and end clamps attached to the
roof sheet clamp. Bolts and built-in nuts will be used to secure module
clamps
Make sure the PV modules are fixed firmly to roof sheet clamps

i. Hazards / Risks
The hazards and risks are detailed in attached Risk assessment. Refer to the attached Risk Assessment
9. ACCESS / EGRESS:
The access / egress for the construction vehicles for the installation of activities shall be as per the
project logistic Plan.
Ensure proper coordination with all interfacing contractors for logistics and access prior to
commencement of all activities.
All Access routes through the site to be properly maintained to minimize interference with adjoining
roads. Minimize interference with adjoining roads, streets, walks, and other adjacent occupied or used
facilities during operations.
Flagman will be provided at critical locations when applicable.
10. LIGHTING:
i. General:
Construction equipment shall comply with the requirements of relevant authorities, industrial
agreements and acceptable industry practice.
Appropriate plants and equipment shall be used for the execution of the activity. The plant, tools
and equipment shall be checked visually prior to use.
All Operators shall be trained and certified by the 3 rd party where required. The testing agency used
for lifting equipment must be certified by the ADM/OSHAD Approval.
No defective plant and equipment shall be allowed to use on site
All operatives involved in the activity shall be provided with Job specific Personal Protective equipment
which are and but not limited as mentioned below
Polycarbonate Safety Helmet
Safety boots with steel toe and Sole
Coverall with high visibility strips
Hand Gloves
Full body Harness (When applicable)
Eye protection / Goggles (When applicable)
15. Power:
The Power supply used on site for power tools shall be 110V only. 230v or higher voltage power supply
shall be provide to site welfare areas and another site establishment. The 110V and 230V tools will be
verified with colour code blue for 220V and Yellow for 110V.
Non
The work areas shall be clean and tidy. No debris from construction activities is allowed to accumulate
in the work area.
Work areas shall be cleaned on daily basis at the end of the shift or on completion of the activity
Sufficient Waste collection bins shall be provided at each working zone
Waste segregation area (where recyclable / landfill materials are segregated, usually as Steel, Wood,
Plastic, Concrete and debris) shall be established to control the waste generated on site due to
construction.
Fire extinguishers shall be put in place in each working zone and a clear access shall be provided to
the location
All the operatives shall be trained for fire precautions on site
A fire warden is appointed and trained from each team of operatives
iii. Communication
The communication for site emergencies shall be in accordance with the communication protocol given
in the project Emergency Plan & ADMM H&S induction information.
