2.1 General
The Contractor shall carry out and document as-built surveys of the pipelines and

necessary information/data for as-built purposes: readings shall be taken on the
pipe with total station/GPS (or equivalent) equipment to accurately reference
height and location of points to permanent survey points.

The Contractor shall take the pipe reading after the pipe has been lowered-in and
is in its final location within the trench. The points measured shall be top-of-pipe,
with all skids removed, and this shall be stated on the data output. Further
readings shall then be taken after backfill and reinstatement to provide a restored
crossing profile.

The Contractor shall prepare a survey report complete with all survey data and
information relevant to: method of survey, type of instruments, origin of the
system (co-ordinates and bench marks), monographs and co-ordinates of every

Leak detection cable as well
As the FOC is located in close proximity to the gas/Oil pipeline, the as-built record
of the gas/Oil pipeline will suffice.
Where the FOC is deviated from the normal pipeline route, separate route record
for the FOC is required. Also at river/road/rail crossing, separate FOC route record
is required.

GPS coordinates of all Fibre Pits shall be taken and tabulated with the exact cable
length including the coiled length in each direction and the length of each coil.
Spatial information of Joints and pits will be indicated in the Alignment sheet and
