2. AS-BUILT RECORDS
2.1 General
The Contractor shall carry out and document as-built surveys of the pipelines and
of all appurtenances.
The Contractor shall carry out all survey activities necessary to obtain all
necessary information/data for as-built purposes: readings shall be taken on the
pipe with total station/GPS (or equivalent) equipment to accurately reference
height and location of points to permanent survey points.
The Contractor shall take the pipe reading after the pipe has been lowered-in and
is in its final location within the trench. The points measured shall be top-of-pipe,
with all skids removed, and this shall be stated on the data output. Further
readings shall then be taken after backfill and reinstatement to provide a restored
crossing profile.
The Contractor shall prepare a survey report complete with all survey data and
information relevant to: method of survey, type of instruments, origin of the
system (co-ordinates and bench marks), monographs and co-ordinates of every
permanent markers, as-build alignment sheet drawings according with project
alignment sheet (if applicable).
o Identification of sequence of each pipe and pipe off-cut in the pipeline by pipe
number.
o String length, diameter and wall thickness.

GPS coordinates of all Fibre Pits shall be taken and tabulated with the exact cable
length including the coiled length in each direction and the length of each coil.
Spatial information of Joints and pits will be indicated in the Alignment sheet and
recorded in the As-Built data and the Company GIS System.
2.11 Main Line Valves, Inlet / outlet Scraper Trap Station and Intake Points
The Contractor shall carry out and document as-built surveys of all
lateral take off points, check and side valves, scraper trap installation,
plant areas such as terminals, junctions, main line valve stations and tie-
in connections.
The survey shall record and indicate the main line Kilometre Post of the
plant area, the pipe cover and all welds inside the fence.
The survey shall be coordinated with the survey coordinate system used
for the pipeline.
For each work, all dimensions shall be indicated, both for the above ground and
the buried sections.
