Welcome to Cheer Command Rockets Allstar Cheerleading 2011 2012

Thank you for your interest in Cheer Command Rockets. At Cheer Command (CCR) we are dedicated to training our Cheerleaders to excel in competition, build self-esteem, promote sportsmanship and develop life long skills, such as leadership and teamwork. This packet contains vital information about our organization including an introduction to our teams, fees, gym rules, practice/competition rules and regulations, and what is expected from our team members and their families. Though our coaching methods are just one of the thousands of different styles, we feel that it is the best way to progress through this highly competitive activity. As you, the parent will soon find out, this is not a recreational hobby. Our squads are strictly competition teams. Cheer Command Rockets take cheerleading to heart. We dedicate ourselves in assuring the success of all of our teams. The squads primary focus will be to prepare for and compete in local and national competitions. During the course of the year, the squads will focus on all of the components of cheerleading including tumbling, jumps, motions, pyramids, partner stunts, dance, sportsmanship and teamwork. CCR teams attend between 7-9 competitions per season depending on age levels. Several of our competitions are local; however, some teams will travel to 3-4 out of state competitions. Some teams also make public appearances. We are looking forward to an outstanding season. Please help us by following the guidelines set forth in this packet. Thank you and Good Luck! Felicia St. John and Stephanie Losieczka

TEAMS
Teams are decided upon based on skills performed at evaluations and stunt groups. (example a base, flyer or backspot) You are placed on teams with expectations that your skills performed at evaluations are maintained. If at any time you lose your skills, we have the option throughout the entire season to adjust teams and move athletes. We understand there are injuries and mind blocks, but athletes must work to regain and maintain to keep their positions. Some athletes may be placed on teams and not have the minimum tumbling for that level, but they bring something else to the team. This includes stunting, dancing, and jumping. Teams are made based on coachs discrection and will not be negotiated. We offer the option of being a double teamer. Double teamers attend all required practices and competitions. The fee for double teamers will be $300. This will spread amongst the 11 month season.
