Dear Candidate,
Kindly refer to the guidelines and instructions before you proceed with the exam registration
process.
You can register for the following Qualification Levels through our registration portal
https://portal.lyceumassessments.lk/
The candidates who are under the age of 18 years will be subjected to the Child Protection
and Safeguarding Policy.
● Candidates from 18 years and above at the time of registering can get registered on
their own.
● If a candidate is under the age of 18 years at the time of registering, then one of the
parents/guardians should handle the registration on behalf of the candidate.
The “Fee Structure” document with the subject/unit/option codes and relevant fees,
“Online Registration Guide Video”, “Online Registration Guide Document” has been
shared for both International GCSE and IAS/IAL along with this documents. However,
students are recommended to consult their subject teachers before selecting the
subject/unit codes and option codes.
Select the correct qualification type, subject name, subject/unit code and option code (some
subjects) with utmost attention as much as possible to avoid mistakes. Candidates are
responsible for their selections. Please refer the Table 1 and Table 2 in Section 1.0
Lyceum Assessments and your schools will NOT be responsible for the mistakes made during
the registration process.

Cash-in
Accounting:YAC11: Accounting International
Advanced Level (Cash-in) YAC11
Cash-in code is entered for International AS and A Level only and is used to tie all units
together and calculate an overall grade. Therefore all the candidates are required to select
relevant cash in codes along with the subject units. Without a cash-in code, the overall grade
or a certificate CANNOT be issued. You must add the Cash-in code as a subject.
Candidates cannot enter the cash-in Codes if the required number of units have not been
completed. Please refer to “Syllabus 2023-International IAL” document in the download
section under International Examinations of Lyceum Assessments website.
If a candidate fails to apply cash-in code pertaining to their past or registered examination,
candidate should fill out the “Late Cash-in Request Form” downloaded from the Lyceum
Assessments website and email to [email protected] mentioning “Late Cash-in
Request” as the subject of the email.
During the normal registration period ( 5th August 2023– 22nd August 2023) an additional
fee will not be charged for Cash-Ins. However, failing to notify before the normal entry
deadline will result in charging a “Late cash-in Fee”. Candidate should contact Lyceum
Assessments before applying for a Cash-In after the normal Entry deadline (22nd August
2023). Please refer Table 4 in Section 4.0

Table 3 - Fee for Cash-in
The online registration portal will be opened on the following dates for the International
Advanced Level and International GCSE candidates. This time frame is considered as the
“Normal Registration Period (Final Entry)”. However, it's important to note, that the
registration closing dates are not the same for the International Advanced Level (IAL) and
the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (International GCSE).

Special Note:
Examination Venue: Please note that the upcoming Oct/Nov examination series will not
take place at your school. Instead, the exam will be held at a central location in Colombo.
Further details will be provided along with the statement of entry.
You should have a valid identification document (NIC/passport/Postal ID) to register for the
examination as mentioned above and the validity of the relevant identification documents
should be valid until 30th November 2023. You need to produce the original identification
document at the examination venue when required.

Normal Registration Period (Final Entry) 5 August - 08th September

All examination fees are payable in Sri Lankan Rupees. You can access the fee structure
available in the download section of the Lyceum Assessments website. The candidate has
the options for online or offline payment methods through the online registration system on
or before the deadlines mentioned in 5.0.
Online: These payments must be made by Visa/ Master Card during your online
registration process. A convenience fee (1.15%) will be added to the total amount of

online payment in addition to the total examination fee. Amex card payments are NOT
accepted by the online system.
Offline: Candidates can pay through the bank or make an online bank transfer and
upload the payment slip on or before the stated deadlines. Failing to upload the
payment slip before the stated deadline on time despite applying or paying for the
examination prior to the stated deadline leads towards the consideration of your
account as frozen, and you have to register as a new candidate. Your entry will be
considered as a late and high late entry and a fee for late and high late entry will also be
applied.
Candidate are advised to stick to one method of payment either offline or online for
one series of examination.
If you were unable to sit for May/June 2023 International GCSE/IAS module/s you have
the option of registering for Oct/Nov 2023 Series.
International GCSE candidates are recommended to select a minimum of 7 subjects as
per the guidelines from your school.
International Advanced Level (IAL) of Pearson Edexcel comprises of two parts.
First part known as IAS (International Advanced Subsidiary)
Second Part known as IA2 (International Advanced Level)
Students are supposed to do the modules related to the First Year (IAS) at the end of
the First Year in May/June examination series and can obtain a certificate for IAS.
All the students of the grade 11 are recommended to sit for the minimum of 3 subjects
to complete the International Advanced Subsidiary Level (IAS), where each subject
comprises of many modules.
The remaining modules, which are relevant (Grade 12) to the Second Year (IA2) needs
to be completed at the end of the Second Year in May/June examination series.
After completing all the modules of all three subjects, students can obtain a full
certificate of IAL.
In order to claim the certificate the candidate should meet all the requirements
specified by the Examination Board, that pertain to the examination series.
If you wish to sit for Oct/Nov 2023 series, please inform the Principal in writing mentioning
the qualification and the subject you wish to sit for in order to get yourself excused from the
current lessons.

8.0 Practicals and Speaking Components :
School candidates are not allowed to register the subjects or units with a practical and
speaking component, after the normal entry registration(no late entries are allowed).
Syllabus and the Fees Structure documents are available in the download section under the
International Examinations of the Lyceum Assessments website.
If a candidate has a requirement to make any amendments in the subject entry (add
subject/remove subject /edit option code), the candidate should fill out the Subject Entry
Amendments Form (available in the download section under International Examinations of
the Lyceum Assessments website) and e-mail it along with the payment slip to
[email protected] with the subject: “Subject Entry Amendments” on or before
below the mentioned deadlines. Please refer Table 7 given below.
Lyceum Assessments sends an acknowledgement e-mail within 48 hours and in-case where
the candidate does not receive such an acknowledgement, the candidate should contact the
Lyceum Assessments immediately. A fee will NOT be charged for the process. However, the
candidate has to pay any additional subject fee and or fee difference/s, if it is required.
Candidates who add new subject/s by withdrawing already registered subject/s must pay
the fee difference, if it involves an extra payment.
Sickness:
Candidates who withdraw their entries due to sickness before the following deadlines will be
refunded the entry fee. Please refer Table 8 given below.

International General Certificate of Secondary Education
(International GCSE) 18th September 2023
During the period of 9th October 2023 to 27th October 2023 for IAS/IAL candidates and 30th
October 2023 to 24th November 2023 for Intentional GCSE candidates, no refund requests
will be accepted without supporting medical evidence obtained only from the List of
Approved Hospitals by Pearson Edexcel. The list of approved hospitals is available in the
download section under International Examinations of the Lyceum Assessments website.
For every stage 1 and stage 2 refunds, administration fee of Rs 2000.00 and 3,000.00 will be
charged respectively.
For more details please read the “Refund Policy” which is available in the download section
under International Examinations of the Lyceum Assessments website.
Please note the final decision will be taken by the Pearson Edexcel Examination Board.
If a candidate needs to alter the personal data, the candidate has to fill out the Personal
Data Amendments Form (available in the download section under international
Examinations of the Lyceum Assessments website) and e-mail it to
[email protected] mentioning “Personal Data Entry Amendments” as the subject
on or before the below deadline (Please refer Table 9 given below) Please note that
together with all personal data amendments, you must attach a copy of your identification
document produced at the time of registration. A fee will NOT be charged within the normal
entry process.
However, if you intend to make personal data amendments (name change) after a results
are released, a fee will be applicable. The charges will be notified at the time of the request
by the candidate. The candidate has to submit an affidavit with English translation for any
personal data amendments made after the release of the results.

11.0 Refunds
It is compulsory to read the refund policy (available in the download section under
International Examinations of the Lyceum Assessments website), before submitting a refund
request. Deadlines for the refund requests are as follows:

If a candidates wants to apply for a refund, fill out the below forms which can be
downloaded from the Lyceum Assessments website and attach the requested documents
stated in the refund policy and email it to [email protected]. However the
original document should be handed over or couriered to the Exam Officer, Lyceum
Assessments (Private) Limited, Lyceum Campus Building , No 10 Raymond Road Nugegoda
within the specified time period.

12.0 Statement of Entry
The School will inform candidates about the availability of the Statement of Entry (other
than late entries), which can be collected from the school. For International AL students, the
statement of entry can be collected by the 01st week of October 2023. For International
General Certificate of Secondary Education (International GCSE) students, the statement of
entry can be collected by the 3rd week of October 2023. However, your school will notify
you regarding the receipt of the statement of entries and the deadline for collection. If you
do not receive your statement of entry during the specified week, please contact the school.
Those who already have a previous registration with ResultsPlus Direct (existing users) will
not receive an email with a username/password. They can access the portal with an existing
username/password.
The certificate issuing date will be notified by the schools.
The best results of the last two sittings will count towards the overall result of IAL,
provided that the same UCI number has been used.
Lyceum Assessments has already sent the relevant forms to be filled to your school.

is 07th August 2023. The Head/Coordinator of the Academic Enrichment Centre will
coordinate with Lyceum Assessments for Access Arrangements requirements.
