MISS MARILAG 2023

Rationale:
Miss Marilag is the new branding of the pageant in Barangay
Poblacion. The Miss Marilag pageant, founded by Sangguniang
Kabataan, serves a dual purpose in its objectives. The primary
aim is to help the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) reach out to
children and youth within their community. This initiative
creates an opportunity for the SK to engage and connect with the
younger generation, fostering a sense of unity and empowerment
among the youth.
One of the main objectives of the Miss Marilag pageant is to
provide activities that help children and youth build good
conduct and behavior. Through various activities and programs
associated with the pageant, participants can learn essential
values such as discipline, respect, and integrity. These values
are crucial for personal growth and becoming responsible members
of the community.
Miss Marilag Queen will be the automatic representative in
any activities as she is the face of Barangay Poblacion.
In summary, the Miss Marilag pageant, founded by the
Sangguniang Kabataan in Barangay Poblacion, has the following key
purposes:
1. To help the SK in reaching out to children and youth in the
community.
2. To provide activities that promote good conduct, behavior,
and essential values.
3. To inspire and encourage the youth to dream big and pursue
their aspirations.
4. To showcase the talents and creativity of the youth in
Barangay Poblacion.
5. To foster community involvement and engagement among the
younger population.

In this year's Miss Marilag, the Organization is searching for

a woman who has two qualities: first, she must be a true leader;
she must know what she is doing and what she is saying with

conviction; and second, she must be empowered. Empowered Marilag

can be defined as promoting women's sense of self-worth, their
ability to determine their own choices, and their right to
influence social change for themselves and others.
Requirements:
1. An official Candidate must submit a completely filled-up
Candidate form;
2. The Candidate must bring a purok or sitio clearance as
evidence that she is a resident of that specific purok or
sitio.

General Guidelines
1. The candidate must be a bona fide citizen of Poblacion T’boli.
She should be 16–24 years old, and her height should be at least
5’3”. SCREENING DATE WILL BE ON JULY 14 “AND” 16, 2023 at Brgy.
Poblacion Hall, from 1pm to 4pm.
2. Each purok, sitio, or sponsor must only have one female
representative for the pageant. Puroks and sitios or sponsors
that participate will be responsible for their candidates'
registration fees of 1,200 pesos only. The amount will be used
for the candidates casual and swimwear attire during the pageant.
Meals and snacks on pageant nights; Payment for the trainer and
coaches for seminars and workshops.
3. The contestants, upon the endorsement of their respective
puroks or sitios, must fill out a contract form on the date
specified by the organizers. Any Back-out will fine Php. 2000.00.
4. The participating puroks, sitos, and sponsors shall have at
least one coordinator who will accompany the candidate during
their scheduled rehearsals, pre-pageant activities, and other
related activities that are duly endorsed and approved by the
organization.
5. The organizing committee reserves the right to call the
candidates' attention to any inappropriate behavior that would
disrupt the scheduled activity.

VIII. Top 3 Announcement/ final Q&A
IX. Awarding of the winners
2. The judges must not be in anyway related to any of the
candidates.
3. The judges’ decision shall be made public only on the final
pageant.
4. The candidate and/or her sponsor shall provide/take care of
 Shoes or sandals, accessories and EVENING GOWNS to
be used during the pageant.
5. As the moment this matter is subject to changes.
6. Major and Minor Awards shall be given on the following
aspects for both male and female category:

participate in the upcoming Miss Marilag 2023 Pageant organized
by the Sangguniang Kabataan in Barangay Poblacion. The event is
aimed at promoting talent, confidence, and camaraderie among the
youth in our community.
We believe that the Miss Marilag Pageant will provide a
platform for young individuals like your daughter to showcase
their talents, build self-esteem, develop valuable life skills,
and help the Sangguniang Kabataan in the advocacies that they
want to render. As part of the pageant's activities, there will
be a swimwear segment where the participants will be required to
wear swimwear like two-piece or one piece.
We understand that concerns may arise regarding the swimwear
segment. Please rest assured that the utmost care and
professionalism will be exercised in organizing this segment. The
swimwear will be tasteful, age-appropriate, and in adherence to
all modesty and decency guidelines.
By allowing your daughter to participate in the swimwear
segment, we believe it will instill a sense of confidence, body
positivity, and self-expression in them. We aim to create a
supportive and encouraging environment throughout the pageant,
where participants feel empowered and proud of their
achievements.
We prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants,
and we have taken the necessary precautions to ensure a secure
and enjoyable event for everyone involved. Lifeguards and
supervisors will be present at all times during the swimwear
segment to ensure maximum safety.

“Your acceptance as a contestant in the Miss Marilag 2023 is
contingent upon the signing of the following two-part agreement.
All terms and conditions herein must be agreed upon and adhered
to while a contestant in the pageant. The subsequent Contract
will be activated upon your coronation as Miss Marilag 2023.
PART I.
As contestant in the Miss Marilag 2023 I certify that I meet the
required criteria, and if I should fail to meet such criteria at
any time during the program, I will resign from the competition,
forfeiting any fees which were paid on my behalf, either by
sponsor or myself.
A. I am a bona fide resident of Barangay Poblacion Tboli
South Cotabato.
B. I possess Moral Integrity.
C. I have never been convicted of a felony.
D. I am single, never been married and not pregnant.
I also agree to the following:
1. If I am under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian will
accompany me to orientation. And my parent or guardian will
signed also to the agreement and contract.
2. I will attend and be on time to all of the scheduled event
required of me.
3. I understand that I will be allowed to miss regular
rehearsals for academic and religious purposes only.
4. I will limit my cellphone usage at rehearsals and scheduled
events.
5. I will come fully prepared for all rehearsals and scheduled
events.
6. I will be fully available on any unexpected events.

7. I will at all times conduct myself in such a manner that is

keeping with the prestigious image that is associated with
the pageant.
PART II.
In the event that you are awarded the title of Miss Marilag 2023,
the following terms and conditions must be adhered to throughout
your reign.
OBLIGATIONS TO THE TITLE AND USAGE OF CROWN
1. Miss Marilag will be automatically be part of the Miss
Marilag Org and Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Poblacion.
Hence, all decision must be cleared and dispute to the
organizations.
2. Miss Marilag Queen will be the automatic representative in
any activities and programs as she is the face of Barangay
Poblacion.
3. All public appearances must be cleared with the pageant
organization.
a. In most cases, local public appearances will be
scheduled through Pageant Director.
b. In any invitation, like judging in the pageant, the
Organization must be informed; any compensation to the
queen, the organization is already out of the business.
4. Miss Marilag must be the spokesperson to the activities
designated to her for which they will work together with the
organization to promote the diligently pursue throughout the
reign.
5. Miss Marilag must possess a good appearance and conduct.
6. Miss Marilag must separate her personal agenda to the
organization. As a face of barangay poblacion, you have a
job to do.
7. If Miss Marilag gets pregnant, she will automatically be
dethroned, and the 1st runner-up will take her place and do
the job.
8. If Miss Marilag will be part to any rebellion and
unacceptable behavior, she will dethroned.

Upon being selected as Miss Marilag 2023, I do hereby agree and

accept the duties, responsibilities, terms, and conditions
associated with the title for a term. I further agree to the
following:

1. I will cooperate with the Pageant Director, Event

Coordinator, Pageant Representatives during the term of my
reign.
2. I will keep all scheduled appointments and apperaances
requiring my presence and will arrive promptly.
3. I will maintain and open communication with the pageant
director and organizations.

I fully understand and read the above-stated terms and

conditions. This signed documents, in its entirely constitutes a
legal and binding contract. I understand that I will receive a
copy of this complete documents for my records, If I am Awarded a
title.
