Admissions at TUP The Office of Admissions assists students to obtain a realistic picture of their abilities, aptitudes, interests, personality

characteristics and school achievements. The objectives are as follows: (1) to enable the student's realize the full extent of their educational potentials; (2) to identify student's strengths and weaknesses; and (3) to know the implication of these, thus, help the counselor have a better picture of the students. Recent News The Admissions Office has already started accepting freshmen applicants for School Year 2011-2012. Interested applicants may download the TUP Application Form for College Admission Test available in this web site and accomplish this and present together with the requirements to the Admissions Office from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. The admission test is given every third Sunday of the month and the result is released a week after. The first admission test for SY 2011-2012 will be held on the last week of Novembe Admission Procedure 1. Secure the application form from the Office of Admission or download in the TUP Website. 2. Present the following to the Admission Personnel prior to taking the entrance examination: * Fully accomplished application form * Two (2) pieces of recent colored ID pictures (1 1/2in. x 1 1/2in.) 3. Pay the non-refundable testing fee of P375 at the Cashier's Office and ask for a receipt. 4. Secure test permit from the Office of Admission. 5. Check the examination date, time and room assignment before leaving the office. Read and follow instructions stated in the examination permit. 6. Take the TUP Admission Test as scheduled.

Admission Requirements For New Applicants 1. Pass the oral and written tests 2. Certification of good moral character 3. Physically and mentally fit 4. Meet the grade requirements in the respective course applied. Obtained at least 80%

grades in Mathematics, Science, and English subjects for Engineering, Architecture and other Science courses. 5. Form 138 (HS Card) or Form 137 6. For transferees, TOR and must have no failing grade in any subject (can only apply in the engineering technology courses) For Continuum/Ladderized Program Applicants 1. Pass the oral test 2. Meet the grade requirements in the respective course applied 3. Certification of good moral character 4. Graduate of three-year courses offered by different campuses of TUP and other SUCs offering similar curricular 5. Original Transcript of Records For Master's and Doctorate Applicants 1. Graduate of relevant bachelor or master's degree 2. Pass the oral and written tests 3. Physically and mentally fit 4. Certification of good moral character 5. Meet the other entry requirements of the program applied for

Foreign Students 1. Foreign students wishing to study must submit the following documents for evaluation in the respective college: * For undergraduate courses - high school records and diploma * For graduate level - transcript of records and diploma in college 2. After a successful evaluation, the applicant may take the entrance examination and pay the required application fee. A passing entrance test will earn the applicant a notice of acceptance. 3. The applicant is then required to prepare the necessary documents for the issuance of a 9F Student Visa from the applicant's country of origin. 4. Upon the issuance of a student visa, the applicant must report to the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) for assistance in the processing of the applicant's papers with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Bureau of Immigration and Deportation. 5. If necessary, a tutorial for English course may be arranged for the applicant. 6. Problems that may arise regarding the student's studies must be reported to the Foreign Student Adviser of the OSA.

Admission Requirements for Foreign Student Applicants 1. Admission requirements for the program applied for 2. To submit necessary documents for Student Visa/Visa Conversion: * Transcript of Records/Scholastic Records duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student applicant's country of origin or legal residence; * A Notarized Affidavit of Support including bank statements, notarized notice of grant for institutional scholars to cover expenses for the student's accommodation and subsistence, as well as other school dues and other incidental expenses; * Photocopy of data page of the student's passport showing date and place of birth, and birth certificate or its equivalent duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post; * Duly authenticated police clearance

Enrollment Procedure 1. Secure Notice of Admission from Office of Student Affairs upon presentation of the following documents: * Original copy of High School card (Form 138) and transcript of records for transferees * Certificate of Good Moral Character (Original) * Test Permit 2. Report to the University Clinic for physical examination requirements 3. With your notice of admission and medical certificate, go to your respective College for advising and enrollment. Secure and fill up registration form from your respective College Adviser. 4. Proceed to the Extension Office for your NSTP enrollment (Either ROTC or CWTS). 5. Proceed to the Accounting Office for assessment of tuition and miscellaneous fees including ID payment. * Note: Students availing scholarship should report to the Office of Student Affairs for scholarship notation of tuition privileges upon presentation of necessary documents/certification. Valedictorian and Salutatorian graduates, Barangay Dependents/Officials, and Sangguniang Kabataan * DOST Scholars to report to the DOST Program Coordinators at the DOST Learning Resource Center (3/F, CIE Bldg.) 6. Pay the assessed school fees at the Cashier's Office. 7. Secure ID Number from the Office of Student Affairs. 8. Present original requirements stated in Step #1 to the Registrar's Office for stamping of final enrollment and release of your class cards. 9. Detach and distribute the remaining Registration Forms to its respective offices (i.e. College Dean's Office and Accounting Office) 10.
