Subject Mathematics 7
Grade Level Grade 7
Quarter 3rd Quarter
Number of Days 2 days
Date of Implementation February 5-8, 2021
Content Standards: The students are able to demonstrate
understanding of key concepts of geometry of
shapes and sizes, and geometric relationships.
Performance Standards: The students are able to apply the idea of
geometry of shapes and sizes, and geometric
relationship through creating models of plane
figures.
Prepared by: Mr. Kim Lambert L. Caubalejo I

I. LEARNING COMPETENCIES
A. Illustrates polygons: (a) convexity; (b) angles; and (c) sides.
II. OBJECTIVES
A. Define polygon, convex polygon, angles and sides of a polygon.
B. Cite examples that shows the application of polygons in real-life.
C. Create models of different type’s polygons using Popsicle sticks.
III.CONTENT
A. Subject Matter: Polygons
B. References: Ulpina and Licardo. Math Builders 7 Work text. JO-ES Publishing, 2014.
C. Materials: Laptop, power point presentation, drawing tablet and Goggle Meet.
D. Valuing: Justice and Peace
E. 21st Century Skills: Critical Thinking
IV. LEARNING EXPERIENCE
A. Activity
 Synchronous: Picture Analysis
Present the following pictures to the students, then ask the students to identify
which of the following doesn’t belong to the group.
Guide Questions:
1. Why do you think that the 4th picture does not belong to the group?
2. What is a plane figure?
B. Analysis
 Synchronous: Springboard
Ask the students to identify which of the following is a polygon or not. If the
figure is a polygons write P, hence if not write NP.

Guide Questions:
1. How did you identify which of the following figure represents a polygon or
not?
2. What is a polygon?
C. Abstraction
 Synchronous
1. What is a convex and non-convex polygon? What is the difference between the
two?
2. What are the types of polygons according to sides?
3. What is interior and exterior angles of a convex polygon?
4. How to measure the sum of the interior and exterior angles of a regular
polygon?
5. How to measure each interior and exterior angle of a regular polygon?
D. Application
 Asynchronous: Math Reflection#4
1. What can you say about our lesson for today?
2. How do we use plane figures specifically polygons in everyday life?
V. ASSESSMENT
 Asynchronous: Performance Output (Shape Building)
Direction: The students will create a model of different types of polygons using
Popsicle sticks.
Types of Polygons.
1. Triangle
2. Quadrilateral
3. Pentagon
4. Hexagon
5. Octagon
Materials:
1. Popsicle sticks
2. Glue gun or Glue
VI. AGREEMENT
 Asynchronous
Define the following:
1. Circle
2. Radius and Diameter
3. Chord and Center
4. Central Angle and Inscribed Angle
