I often hear or read about “natural disaster”- the eruption of Mount St Helen, a volcano the state of

Christmas

 Tôi là SPIDER-MAN – người nhện quyền năng. Nếu ngài đã xem bộ phim “” thì chắc ngài đã biết tôi
có những quyền năng gì? Chắc ngài đang thắc mắc tại sao tôi lại viết bức thư này? Đó là vì tôi được nghe
qua chương trình hành động của Liên hợp quốc về cải thiện “An toàn giao thông đường bộ”. Dựa vào sức
mạnh của mình tôi đã đảm nhận được sứ mệnh “Làm cho mọi con đường trên thế giới trở nên an toàn
hơn đối với trẻ em”.

An toàn giao thông là một trong những vấn đề nghiêm trọng, làm nhức nhối của những nhà lãnh đạo
thực hiện An toàn giao thông đường bộ. Theo WHO – tổ chức Y tế Thế Giới, mỗi năm, trên thế giới có
trên 186.000 trẻ em tử vong do tai nạn giao thông cứ 4 phút có một trẻ em mất đi mạng sống. Tại Việt
Nam, theo Ủy ban An toàn giao thông Quốc gia, trung bình mỗi năm cả nước có hơn 1.900 trẻ em tử
vong vì TNGT, chiếm 25% tổng số trẻ em tử vong do các tai nạn thương tích.
    Vậy tại sao an toan giao thông đáng báo động ?
Có rất nhiều nguồn cơn gieo rắc những thứ không tốt đẹp vào đầu trẻ em. Hãy nghĩ mà xem, những
bậc làm cha, làm mẹ bất cẩn, thiếu ý thức để chở con không đội mũ hiểm, hay không cài dây an toàn
trong xe ô tô. Hay như ý thức của những đứa trẻ ngày một mài mòn chẳng hạn như: vượt đèn đỏ,đua xe
lạng lách.Ngoài ra, những con đường gồ ghề, chất lượng xuống cấp, thiếu đèn hiệu, biển báo hay thời tiết
xấu vẫn đáng chú ý.
Vậy hậu quả gây ra như thế nào ?
Tai nạn giao thông được xem như một trong những thảm họa lớn nhất đe dọa đến tính mạng và sức
khỏe của mỗi nhân dân ta Đau lòng hơn là những cái mất của những nạn nhân tử vong là những ánh mắt
đầy tuyệt vọng, buồn bã của người thân gia đình và bạn bè.Xót xa nhất là những đứa trẻ mất cơ hội đến
trường, mất đi người cha, người mẹ càng trở nên đau lòng, tiềm ẩn sau những vụ tai nạn này là nguy cơ
nghèo đói của nhiều gia đình, là sự xói mòn thứ phát triển kinh tế của xã hội.
Trước những hậu quả nghiêm trọng do mất an toàn giao thông gây ra Liên hợp quốc đã đề ra chương
trình hành động ở thập niên thứ hai về cải thiện “An toàn giao thông đường bộ”. Đại hội đồng Liên hợp
quốc đã thông qua nghị quyết về “Cải thiện an toàn giao thông đường bộ toàn cầu” với mục tiêu rất cụ
thể và đầy tính nhân văn: ngăn chặn được ít nhất 50% số ca tử vong và số ca thương tích do tai nạn giao
thông đường bộ trong những năm gần đây. Kế hoạch nhấn mạnh tầm quan trọng của cách tiếp cận toàn
diện đối với an toàn giao thông đường bộ: Kêu gọi cải thiện thiết kế đường xá và phương tiện giao thông,
tăng cường pháp luật và thực thi pháp luật, cung cấp dịch vụ chăm sóc khẩn cấp kịp thời cứu sống những
người bị thương. Riêng với tôi, tôi sẽ:
Thứ nhất: tạo ra cuộc thi “An toàn giao thông” cho trẻ em (tuổi: 7-13) mỗi năm
Thứ hai:  xây dựng những con đường chất lượng cao dành cho xe đạp, đi bộ cho trẻ nhỏ
Thứ ba: xử phạt khắt khe với những hành vi vi phạm.
Ta tin rằng với những giải pháp nêu trên chúng ta có thể tạo ra những con đường an toàn, không chỉ
đối với trẻ em mà còn cho tất cả mọi người. Tuy nhiên, dù có sức mạnh siêu phàm nhưng con người
không có ý thức tuân thủ luật lệ giao thông thì cũng khó có được sự an toàn tuyệt đối. Do đó, mỗi người
cần phải nhận thức được rằng an toàn giao thông là nhiệm vụ của chung mọi người, ngay cả trẻ em. Mọi
người cần có trách nhiệm và nhiệm vụ tuân thủ luật an toàn giao thông, không chỉ đảm bảo cho riêng ta
mà còn là những người tham gia an toàn giao thông khác. Hãy nhớ rằng:  “nhanh một phút, chậm cả đời”

giải pháp hay hơn nhằm khắc phục tình trạng mất an toàn giao thông hiện trên thế giới
