The First Method
Step 1: Click the window start menu

Step 2: Select the settings

Step 3: Select system


Step 4: Under system select the Power & Battery option

Step 4: Scroll down and select battery usage


Step 5: Under battery usage, you get to see all the apps installed on your
computer and for this demonstration, we shall select the Microsoft
Teams app.

Step 6: Click the three dots aligned to the Microsoft Teams app and
then click Manage background activity.
Step 7: Under the background app permission choose never.

Repeat these steps with all the apps you don’t want to run in the
background.

The Second Method


you can use as an alternative to the first one is as follows
Step 1: Click the window start menu

Step 2: Select the settings


Step 3: Select Apps

Step 4: Under Apps select Apps & features


Step 5: Select the apps you want to disable. For this illustration, we shall
select the Feedback Hub app.

Step 6: Click the three dots aligned to the Feedback Hub app and then
click Advanced options.

Step 7: Under the background app permission choose never.


Repeat these steps with all the apps you don’t want to run in the
background even with this method.

The Third Method


This is the most preferable method because it is quick and
comprehensive
Step 1: Click the windows start menu
Step 2: Search gpedit and open it

Step 3: On Edit group policy select and expand Computer Configuration


then select and expand Administrative Templates then select and expand
Windows Components then click Apps Privacy on the right display tab
select Let windows apps run in the background

Step 4: On the windows that open after you click Let windows apps run
in the background select Disabled and click OK to stop all the apps from
running in the background.
All in all, choose the best method that works for your computer and
kindly note that these methods only work on windows 11. You can get
