Mindset 2 Unit 7: EDUCATION SYSTEMS

1. The school system in our country is one of the best in the world
- we differ in giving early education: education systems are designed around learning through  play and it
offers social and emotional development and also allows for critical thinking
- The expenses and equity vary
- Standardized tests
-Outstanding level of numeracy
2. The school system in our country is in need of improvement.
- Instructional days aren’t spread throughout the entire year ( a long, interrupted summer break)
- Students get a pile of homework
- Lack of practical experience, problem – solving skills
- Ethnic minority find difficulties in getting a good quality education
3. Too many people in our country go to university.
- Universities provide higher education and has all these resources and facilities for people who crave
knowledge → helps us widen our understanding and increase our intellectual ability
- Career preparation  seek either a career in science and technology or a career in business or a better
job opportunity  It is believed that the ideas, opportunities, qualifications, in-depth knowledge and
expertise in science areas often make attending university imperative
4. Many people in our country are not ready to get a job when they leave school.
