WORK EXPERIENCE
November 11, 2022 – To date: Deputy Resident Engineer at Gondwana Engineering PLC in sub-consultancy with YLS
Engineering PLC, Soddo Junction (Dimtu) – Blate Military Training Center Road Project, SNNP Region, Wolaita Zone.
Assists the RE for the tasks assigned to him and be delegated for RE during his absence from the project site,
Acting within the delegated authority given by the Resident Engineer,
Management of the site staff in his control,
Liaison with service providers to ensure that the construction works does not affect supplies.
Provision of assistance to ERA during construction to ensure the assessment of compensation for property owners is dealt
with correctly.
Maintenance up-to-date records of labor and plant used by the contractor.
Maintain records, working, drawings, as –built drawing, test data, details of variations etc. assisted with the other respective
staffs.
Ensuring that contractor uses safe working practice.
Reviewing the design of the scheme and communicate through the RE to ERA on the need to issue instruction to amend the
design and Build Contractor.

Will direct all activities of staff engaged on the checking, inspection and testing of all construction materials and laboratory
technicians, He will also co-operate with the inspection as necessary for the use surveyors to locate borrow pits and quarries.

be the evolution of the test results and on the basis thereof approve the application of material or the rejection of the same.
November 01, 2021 – November 29, 2022: Assistant Resident Engineer at BEST Consulting Engineers PLC, Yabello
Town Bypass Asphalt Concrete Road Construction Project, Oromia Region, Borena Zone.
In the absence of the Resident Engineer, the Assistant will assume his duties, responsible for performing all the
administrative and operational functions necessary for the day to day operation of the project.
Responsible for administration of construction contract works, and assist the RE with prompt exchange of correspondence,
submittals, and RFI's to the Contractor.
Orient, assign, and supervise the construction supervision staff on a daily basis so that all Contractor activities are adequately
covered.
Supervise and remain vigilant regarding all aspects of the construction activities. Respond with appropriate and necessary
levels of construction supervision to provide quality assurance in accordance with contract documents.
Coordinate the interface of the construction work with other Sub-contractors on the site. Orient inspectors to verify that the
Contractor is following its approved site Health & Safety plan.
Review the Contractor's progress at all times, monitor the material incorporated in the work, the materials stored at the site,
and the Contractor's manpower and equipment status.
Attend weekly, monthly, and other progress meetings held at the site and preparing minutes of meeting as required.
Identify progress constraints and recommend corrective measures.
Review inspector's daily reports and preparation of Engineer's daily diary, and general oversight of inspector's daily activities
including works assignments, on-site performance, and guidance on the supervision of the Contractor's operations.
Coordination with Contractor's supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence, and method of work.
Continuous inspections and consultation including the preparation of written and oral reports to the RE on contractual and
procedural matters.
