Map Our Home
Finding Us This is our home and when you are here it is
your home too. It is not a hotel.

Evelyn Waugh wrote a letter to his friend Nancy Mitford in 1950

that described Elmore Court as being quite lost on the banks
of the River Severn...

So, here’s a map that shows how wrong he was...

We’re easy to find.

And if you require modern technology then our postcode,

GL2 3NT, takes you to the front gates.

Until fairly recently we lived in the house and for us and our
children it is enormously important. We give it the love and
care that any hard-working proud soul would give their own
home. We now live in the ‘Home Farm’ just down the road
and are always around.

I inherited Elmore Court from my late uncle, Sir John Guise

in 2007 whilst running a fairly bonkers electronic dance music
festival called ‘The Glade’. I had spent all my adult life playing
techno, releasing music and putting on parties all over the world...

So, when the old, slightly crumbling family home landed in my

lap it was all a bit of a shock. Not wanting to stop the fun
however, I started to scheme ways to make Elmore Court into a
place to continue the good times; especially as I love sharing it
with people. We had quite a few parties and obviously still do!

Not long after then I met Sarah, who also loves events and parties!
We married in 2010. Our son Wylder was born soon after and two
years after that our daughter Lyra arrived. Together we all lived in
the west wing of the house while the east was renovated and
The Gillyflower built.

The house opened as an events venue in late 2013 and when we

moved to the farm, we freed up further rooms and the Coach
House for you and your guests. The house, grounds and land at
Elmore is full of history and my family have lived here since 1274.
It is therefore more than a home but our family ‘seat’ and has
been for nearly 750 years.

We hope and trust you’ll love, respect and crucially enjoy it as

much as we all do.

Thank you.

Anselm Guise
