Clutch Transmission Oil pump
pump shaft cover
1. A set of numbers on the connecting rod is the weight of the connecting rod. When
assemble, the weight difference between the two connecting rods cannot exceed 2g. The
other set of numbers with the same value is for matching reference, the mark “1” or “2” is
the connecting rod big end diameter grouping.
2. When assembling the connecting rod, the convex on the connecting rod should face to the
exhaust side, and the connecting rod cover should be installed according to the grouping
mark. The nut should be screwed to the bottom by hand and tighten to 40 N•m, then loose
it out and tighten to “29 N•m +100 degrees”. After assembly, the rotation should be
smoothly.

● Balance shaft
1. The crankcase should be installed in pair together, the groove side of the
driven shaft bearing face outside and the retainer ring is not missing.
2. The tightening sequence of the crankcase bolts should be 1-6 firstly and 7-10
secondly, and tighten according to the numbers sequence on the crankcase.
The bolts at the edge of the crankcase should be tightened diagonally
(44N·m\35N·m\27.5N·m \20N·m).
3. After the crankcase is assembled, the crankshaft should running smoothly,
and the balance shaft axial float is also smoothly.

● Oil Pan
There is no locating pins on the oil pan. When install the oil pan,
the oil suction port and the oil return pipe should be fixed into the
corresponding positions separately in the bottom of oil pan.

● Transmission
1. The retainer rings on the drive and driven shafts should be installed in
the grooves properly.
2. Before installation, smear cleaned oil on the gears and shafts. The
rotation should be smoothly and no jam.
3. The transmission cover screw should be coated with thread locker,
pay attention to the position of the longer and shorter bolts, the torque
is 20N•m

● Oil pump
1. When installing the clutch hub assembly, hang the oil pump chain firstly, and
the end surface of clutch sleeve with the two holes faces outward.
2. Friction plates should be covered by engine oil, the outermost friction plate
should be dislocated one grid, the marks should be aligned with each other.
3. There thinner steel plate should be installed into the innermost.
3. The mark of elastic washer faces outward, the nut is coated with thread
locker, torque requirement is 132N•m.

● Piston and piston ring combination
1. Turn the crankshaft three circles before measure the valve clearance. After the
tensioner works, let the cam turn to the base circle position, then measure the
clearance by feeler gauge.
2. The intake valve clearance is 0.08-0.13 mm and the exhaust valve is 0.20-0.26
mm.
3. Tappets have 50 kind of specifications in sizes, the difference on each
specification is 0.02mm.
Conversion formula:
measured clearance value - standard clearance intermediate value + original tappet value

● Output sprocket
1. Before installing the output shaft bushing, install the O-ring on the
shaft. The bushing end surface with groove faces inward.
2. The nut should be coated with thread locker. The torque is
125N•m.
3. The edge of the spline gasket should be floded after the nut is
tightened.

● Magneto rotor
1. Before installing the pump impeller, clean the impurities and oil
on the rotating ring and stationary ring surfaces.
2. The clearance between the pump impeller and the pump body is
from 0.2 to 0.6 mm.
3. Note not missing the positioning pin.
