    LIST OF MATERIALS

    Swarovski 12 mm Rivoli crystals (colour Montana blue, 2 pcs)


    Swarovski 8 mm Rivoli crystals (colour Montana blue, 2 pcs)
    Swarovski 3 mm Bicone crystals (colour Metallic blue, 32 pcs)
    Miyuki Rocailles 11/0 (colour Duracoat galvanized champagne, code 4204)
    Miyuki Delica 11/0 (colour Duracoat galvanized pewter, code 1852)
    Miyuki Rocailles 15/0 (colour Metallic dark blue iris, code 0452)
    Miyuki Rocailles 15/0 (colour Duracoat galvanized champagne, code 4204)
    Miyuki Rocailles 15/0 (colour Duracoat galvanized pewter, code 4222)
    one pair of cup-shaped posts, suitable for a 4 mm Rivoli crystal
    STEP 1

    Pick up 32 Delica beads.

    STEP 2

    Go again through all of them to form a circle.


    STEP 3

    Make a peyote row all around, using Delica


    beads.

    STEP 4

    Add a row of dark blue 15/0 beads between


    the Delicas of the previous row.
    STEP 5

    Add a row of champagne 15/0 beads


    between the dark blue ones of the previous
    row.

    STEP 6

    Add one pewter 15/0 bead between every


    second pair of champagne beads from the
    previous row.
    STEP 7

    Add one 12 mm Rivoli face down into the


    construction.

    STEP 8

    Add one row of dark blue 15/0 beads between


    the Delica beads on this side as well.
    STEP 9

    Add one row of champagne 15/0 beads


    between the dark blue beads of the previous
    row.

    STEP 10

    Add one pewter 15/0 bead between every


    second pair of champagne beads from the
    previous row.
    STEP 11

    Add two dark blue 15/0 beads between the


    pewter 15/0 beads added under previous
    step.

    STEP 12

    Go once through all the dark blue beads


    added under previous step, without adding
    any new bead.
    STEP 13

    Go then through the beads to come out of one


    of the middle Delica beads. Pick up another
    Delica bead and go into the next middle
    Delica bead.

    STEP 14

    Repeat this step all around.


    STEP 15

    Coming out of a Delica bead added under the


    previous step, pick up one champagne 11/0
    bead and go into the next Delica bead.

    STEP 16

    Pick up two dark blue 15/0 beads and go into


    the next Delica bead.
    STEP 17

    Repeat the last two steps all around, adding


    alternatively one champagne 11/0 and two
    dark blue 15/0 beads.

    STEP 18

    Coming out of the first bead of a pair of dark


    blue 15/0s added under previous steps, pick
    up another dark blue 15/0 and go into the
    second dark blue bead of the pair.
    STEP 19

    Repeat this step all around adding a dark blue


    15/0 within every pair of dark blue beads.

    STEP 20

    Coming out of the middle dark blue 15/0


    added under previous steps, pick up one
    champagne 15/0, one bicone, three
    champagne 15/0s, one bicone and one
    champagne 15/0 and go into the central dark
    blue 15/0 of the next group of three.
    STEP 21

    Repeat the previous step all around.

    STEP 22

    Coming out of the first champagne 15/0 bead


    from the group of three between the bicones,
    pick up two dark blue 15/0 beads and go into
    the third one, the bicone and the last
    champagne 15/0 bead of the series.
    STEP 23

    Without passing through the dark blue bead


    at the base, go directly up the next
    champagne 15/0 bead, the bicone and the
    first champagne bead of the next group of
    three. Continue then by adding the two dark
    blue beads as shown under previous step all
    around.

    STEP 24

    Coming out of the first dark blue bead added


    under Step 22, pick up a champagne 15/0
    and go into the second dark blue bead.
    STEP 25

    Turn the earring on the back side. Pick up


    seven champagne 15/0 beads and go into the
    dark blue bead corresponding to the middle
    between the two points of the star.

    STEP 26

    Go then up the last two of the beads you have


    just added.
    STEP 27

    Pick up five champagne 15/0 beads and go


    into the first dark blue bead of the next group
    of two. Repeat then Steps 24-27 all around.

    STEP 28

    Go down the first four champagne 15/0 beads


    added under Step 25. Pick up one dark blue
    15/0 and go up the corresponding 4
    champagne beads from the next point of the
    star.
    STEP 29

    Repeat this step all around and add the dark


    blue beads in the indicated location. It might
    be that you will additionally have to arrange
    the dark blue bead by hand in the correct
    position. Pulling the thread too hard at this
    point might set it into an incorrect position.

    STEP 30

    Go then through the beads to meet your


    starting thread to finish up this first
    component.
    STEP 31

    We shall now make the upper component.


    Pick up 22 Delica beads.

    STEP 32

    Go once through all of them to form a circle.


    STEP 33

    Make one peyote row with Delica beads all


    around.

    STEP 34

    Add dark blue 15/0 beads between the


    Delicas added under previous step.
    STEP 35

    Add champagne 15/0 beads between the


    dark blue ones of the previous row.

    STEP 36

    Place an 8 mm Rivoli crystal face down into


    the construction.
    STEP 37

    Add one row of dark blue 15/0 beads between


    the Delicas on this side as well.

    STEP 38

    Add one row of champagne 15/0 beads


    between the dark blue beads of the previous
    row.
    STEP 39

    Go once through all the champagne 15/0


    beads added within the previous step.

    STEP 40

    Coming out of a middle Delica bead, pick up


    two champagne 15/0 beads and go into the
    next middle Delica bead.
    STEP 41

    Turn back through the Delica beads.

    STEP 42

    Coming out of the first champagne 15/0 bead


    added under Step 40, go through one of the
    champagne 15/0 beads representing a point
    of the star.
    STEP 43

    Go then through the second champagne 15/0


    bead you added under Step 40.

    STEP 44

    Turn then again through the Delica beads and


    pass again through the three champagne
    15/0 beads to reinforce the connection
    between the two elements.
    STEP 45

    Coming out of the middle Delica bead marked


    with “1” on the right-hand image, pick up three
    dark blue 15/0 beads and go into the next
    middle Delica bead, marked with “2”.

    STEP 46

    Repeat this step until you have added a total


    of 8 groups of three dark blue 15/0 beads.
    STEP 47

    Coming out of the middle Delica bead


    indicated in the right-hand image, pick up 8
    champagne 15/0 beads and go into the 11/0
    in the middle of the star point below the
    connection.

    STEP 48

    Go again up the last three beads you have


    just added.
    STEP 49

    Pick up five champagne 15/0 beads and go


    into the middle Delica bead marked in the
    right-hand image and then into the first two
    dark blue beads of the first group of three.

    STEP 50

    Turn the earring around. Coming out of this


    middle dark blue bead, pick up two
    champagne 15/0s and go into the dark blue
    bead on the back, at the middle distance
    between the group you are coming out of
    and the next.
    STEP 51

    Pick up again two champagne 15/0 beads


    and go into the middle bead of the next
    group of three dark blue 15/0s.

    STEP 52

    Repeat the last two steps in zig-zag until you


    reach the last peak of the last group of three
    dark blue beads.
    STEP 53

    Go then through the beads to come out of


    the first champagne 15/0 bead added under
    Step 47. Pick up another champagne 15/0
    bead, skip one and go into the next one.

    STEP 54

    Repeat this step: pick up a champagne 15/0


    bead, skip one and go into the next.
    STEP 55

    Come then out of the first of five beads


    added under Step 49, pick another
    champagne 15/0, skip one and go into the
    next one.

    STEP 56

    And one last time: pick another champagne


    15/0 bead, skip one and enter the next one.
    Go then through the beads to meet your
    starting thread. Make two or three knots, pull
    them into a bead and continue going through
    a few more beads to make your work secure,
    then cut the threads.
    STEP 57

    Turn the earring around and glue the post


    with jewellery glue. Let it dry according
    instructions.
