WHAT IS POLLUTION ?
~ Pollution is the introduction of harmful into the environment.

~ These harmful materials are called pollutants.

~ They can also be created by human activity, such as trash or runoff

produced by factories.
AIR POLLUTION
Air pollution is the contamination of air that is harmful to the health
of humans and other living beings.

CAUSED OF AIR POLLUTION

Caused by solid and liquid particles and certain gases that are suspended in
the air

The solid and liquid particles are called aerosols.

Come from car, factories, volcanoes and wildfires.
HOW IT EFFECT HUMAN HEALTH AND PLANTS
Seven million people die each year from air pollution
Ground- level ozone cause muscles in the

lung
By damaging stucture-stomata which are tiny pores on the underside of
leaves

HOW TO PREVENT
Using public transport Avoid usage of crackers

fires and smoking
Restrict forest
LAND POLLUTION
Land pollution refers to the deterioration of the earth’s land surfaces at and
below ground level .

CAUSE OF WATER POLLUTION

~ mining.

~ agricultural activity.

~ improper disposal of waste.

HOW IT EFFECT LIVING BEINGS

~ climate change - which causes an onslaught of disastrous problems ,

including flash floods and irregular rainfall .

~ habitat shifting - animals are forced to flee where they live.

HOW TO PREVENT

~ recycle the materials that are not in use.

~ fewer pesticides and chemicals in agriculture.

WATER POLLUTION
Water pollution occurs when harmful subtances- often chemicals or
microorganisms- contaminate a stream, river, lake, ocean, aquifer, or other
body of water, degrading water quality and rendering it toxic to humans or the
environment

CAUSE OF WATER POLLUTION

Water is uniquely vulnerable to pollution

Toxic substances from farms, towns, and factories

readily dissolve into and mix with it causing
water pollution
HOW IT EFFECT AQUATIC LIFE AND HUMAN LIFE
Aquatic life forms mainly suffer because of loss enough amount of fresh
dissolved oxygen in water.
Toxicity which is a result of water pollution leads to death of aquatic

life forms.
Contaminated water can harbor bacteria, such as those responsible for
diarrhea, cholera, dysentery, typhoid, hepatitis A, and polio.

Approximately 297,000 children under five dies from diseases linked to poor

sanitation, poor hygiene, or unsafe drinking water

HOW TO PREVENT
1. Dispose of toxic chemicals properly

2. Try to avoid plastic containers

3. Dispose medical waste properly

4. Report water polluters

5. Support environmental charities

IN CONCLUSION, WE NEED TO AVOID THESE
POLLUTION TO SAVE OUR EARTH
