    Sub: Requesting for Road Construction, Providing Street light and Settlement of Damage
    of Lives of Fishes and Plants

    Respected Sir,
    With reference to subject stated above, we would like to inform you that, there has been a
    leakage of Oil which gets mixed with water. The mixture of Oil and Water passes though the
    drain which is not properly covered and the drainage system maintained by prestige company
    INDIAN OIL CORPORATION LTD. is NOT maintained properly. The same polluted water
    (i.e mixture of Oil and drain water) goes to main drain of Shri Nogen Borah House and same
    drain link is also connected to Dehing River Margherita.
    Furthermore, Many live fishes are dying everday because of this polluted water and there is a
    negative and unhealthy impact towards the Environment and it also damages all live plantations
    like the Coconut Plants/Trees, Tambula plant, Chikoo plants which have been planted by Shri
    Nogen Borah since 2002. For the same problem we have already, verbally Communicated
    several times and requested the General Manager Of Digboi Marketing Terminal to look into
    this matter and also informed several times through Golai Association but NO serious step has
    been taken forward by Indian Oil Corporation, Digboi Marketing Terminal, to make good for the
    problem that has been arise.
    We kindly request you to please check all the outer drainage system from Golai No 3 Near
    Railway Crossing to Shri Nogen Borah House, and request to please properly construct the
    drainage system and Compensate whatever damage that has been caused by harming lives of
    fishes and the Plantations to Shri Nogen Borah.

    The Indian Oil Corporation Limited ,Digboi Marketing Terminal uses 3 No Golai Emergency
    Gate , and we had informed through Letter on 14.03.2019 for construction the Road and street
    light from Golai No. 3, Near Railway Gate to School building through CSR Fund or any
    other Indian Oil Corporation Fund , but till now no step has been initiated by the Management of
    Digboi Marketing Terminal.
    The Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Digboi Marketing Terminal has almost completed 6 year of
    doing the business in this location ,(2018) . We don’t know what Profit or Loss has The Indian
    Oil Corporation Limited , Digboi Marketing Terminal company being earning but till now NO
    Activities in Social Works or Contribution has been made toward any School, Namghar ,
    Medical Camp, Playground , any other Social Actives. A Company doing business in a local
    area always has a primary responsibility of providing Social welfare or should make necessary
    contribution towards social activities in the nearby locality but this company is not providing
    anything as such which is ultimately creating a negative impact of public towards the Company.

    The Indian Oil Corporation Limited , Digboi Marketing Terminal, Management team is a very
    big team and have well educated and talented persons, but in social actives no one is supporting.
    Sir, we are not well educated but we hope and request before you to do as per subject stated
    above supporting the Local Public which will create a positive impact towards the public .

    This letter is for your kind information for public opinion, we request you kindly look into this
    matter immediately and take the necessary steps as earliest as possible.
