    LEARNING OUTCOMES:
    At the end of this assignment, students should be able to:
    1) Explain the construction methods, materials and process for a complex & large scale
    skyscraper particularly on the design and the construction details of a Building Envelope
    & Façade.
    2) Determine and discuss the appropriate construction method, materials and processes for the
    complex & large scale skyscraper based on the selected example/ existing building.

    TASK:
    You are required to carry out the following task in a group of maximum 5 students within your
    own tutorial class.
    Select an example of an existing Skyscraper (under/ completed construction) and write a report
    consisting the following information based on the selected skyscraper:
     Project background
     Materials used for the skyscraper’s building envelope/ façade
     Design & construction details & procedures
     Comparative analysis between other skyscrapers & justification in terms of economy
    (budget), safety features and uniqueness of the building envelope/ façade
     Include in photographs, detail drawings or any supporting information to support your
    findings.

    GROUP ASSIGNMENT AND ORESENTATION BRIEF

    REPORT STRUCTURE:
    The report shall consist of the following headings:
    1) Cover page – including the TARUC LOGO, subject code and name, topic of
    assignment, name of students and student ID number.
    2) Marking scheme
    3) Table of content
    4) Introduction
    5) Discussion
    6) Conclusion and recommendation
    7) Reference
    8) Appendices

    The report shall be properly typed in font 12 of Times New Roman with proper page numbering
    at the bottom. The length of report from item (3) to (8) including texts and figures shall not
    exceed 30 pages, additional pages of report will not be considered for marking.

    All downloaded pictures & reference material must be properly labelled & referenced using
    the Harvard Referencing System.

    Submission of the assignment shall be in PDF format and to be uploaded in Google Classroom
    in a specific folder where the lecturer will create and announce to all students.
    All group members shall participate in the presentation as this will contribute individual marks
    for the assignment. Every group is allocated with maximum of 20 minutes for the presentation
    which will be held during the tutorial sessions of Week 10 to Week 12.

    Submission date: Week 9 tutorial
    Feedback: Week 14 tutorial

    Marks will be deducted for late submission without acceptable reason/permission.
