Greensand
Manganese Greensand is formulated
ADVANTAGES
from a glauconite greensand which is
• Iron reduction over wide pH range
capable of reducing iron, manganese and
• Effective reduction of hydrogen
hydrogen sulfide from water through
sulfide in addition to iron and/or
oxidation and filtration. Soluble iron and
manganese
manganese are oxidized and precipitated
• No harmful effects from a chlorine
by contact with higher oxides of manga-
feed
nese on the greensand granules. The
• Low attrition for long bed life
hydrogen sulfide is reduced by oxidation
to an insoluble sulfur precipitate.
