Methodology
Introductory Activity Have a short recall on the rules of subject-verb agreement discussed in the
(__5_ minutes) previous lesson.
Present the objectives of the lesson.
Activity Have the students analyze the given sentences and let them answer the
(_15 minutes) questions that follow.
1.There is a fairy living in the mountain
2. Here are the pomelo flowers picked by Maria.
3. Does a fairy live in the mountain?

Analysis 1. What is the subject in the first sentence? In the second? Third?
(___10_ minutes) 2. What is the verb in the first sentence? In the second? Third?
3. Do the verbs agree with their subjects?
Abstraction Direct the students to listen to a short discussion on the s-v agreement rules
(_10___ minutes) for sentences with expletives, auxiliary verbs and conjunctions.
Application *Have the students answer the Task(See Appendix A) by group. Tell them
(___5 minutes) to give the correct form of the verbs inside the parentheses and write thier
answers in a ¼ sized manila paper to be posted on the board or wall after 5
minutes.
*Process the students’ answers.
Assessment Individual Task.
(__10__ minutes) Instruct the class to complete the paragraphs (See Appendix B) by using the
correct form of the verb inside the parentheses.
Assignment Direct the students to write one sentence for each rule on S-V Agreement.
(___3 minute) They will write the sentences in their journal to be checked next meeting.
Concluding Activity Ask the students how they feel towards the given activities.
