Where Do I Shop?

  People used to think of what to shop for and not where to shop.  They (0) going to the
shop and got what was needed.  It is different now (9) which people can choose shopping
online as well.  There has been talks (10) for shopping online and shopping at the shops.
  For one thing,   it is easier to shop online as we do not need to (11) finding parking

is up to the shoppers to decide if they want to buy from an online shop or a shop.

ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL 

     

          Alexander Graham Bell is most well known for making the telephone.  He came to
the U.S. as a teacher to those who had hearing problems. He had the idea of an "Electronic
Speech Machine" while visiting his mother who also had hearing problems in Canada. This
made him make a microphone and later the "Electrical Speech Machine" the name for the
first telephone. 

          Bell was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on 3 March 1847. He went to the University of
London to study anatomy and physiology, but his college time was cut short when his
family moved to Canada in 1870.  His parents had lost two children to tuberculosis, and
they decided the best way to save their last child was to leave England. 

          While trying to perfect a way for carrying many messages on a single line. He heard
the sound of a plucked spring along 60 feet of line in a Boston electrical shop. Hearing the
sound, Bell believed that he could end the problem of sending sounds over a line. Five days
later, he sent a real sound.  Sitting in one room, he spoke into the phone to his friend in
another room, saying the famous words: "Mr. Watson, come here.  I need you."  This
telephone is one of the most important ones. 

          Bell died on 2 August 1922 at the age of 75.  All telephone service in the US was
stopped for one minute on his last day.

A letter of apology

for this late reply. I was really busy preparing for the final year examination.

A letter to a friend 

  Hi, I hope that you are well with your family. I am well here. The reason I am writing this
letter is to tell you about my experience during an expedition that I went to last week.

   The expedition was organized by the Geography Club of my school and we went to Bukit
Kluang. We boarded the bus at 8.00 in the morning and arrived there at 12.00 noon. When
we arrived, we saw three trainers waiting for us. ( 37 )_____.

  We were then asked to form five groups. A short while later we started hiking up the hill.
We walked into the thick forest in high spirits. After a while, we came to a river. We crossed
the river using a rope which was tied to trees at either end of the river. The activity which we
enjoyed the most was bathing at the waterfall. (38 )_____.
 
  The last activity was treasure hunt. Each group was given a compass and a map. (
39)_____. It was a very challenging activity. Fortunately, we completed the activity
successfully because we worked as a team.

  Last but not least, I cannot forget the experiences I had during the expedition. (40)_____. I
